I was just going through Pillars of flame with my 2 chars -Figured someone had cleared the goblins areas because none were up - then POOF - 15 goblins were swarming on me including a named, and I couldnt even get away. After I rez I go back - again, no goblins - I didn't run through like I had been before, but slowly and surely, all the goblins started "popping" on my screen. Most of them were already agro to me and pretty close in proximity.Almost everywhere in these goblin areas - none were up, but if I sat still (at least 20+ secs, they'd slowly appear. I'd leave the general vicinity (but not zone), and come back - same thing - they were gone. Give it 20 secs, and they'd be backWow, thats intolerable. I shouldnt have to go through a zone at a snails pace just because mobs don't appear on the screen even though they are there and about to attack me.Anyone else getting this? I dont want to blame LU31 since I hadnt been in PoF much with these chars before, but right now its really bad.agressiv³EDIT: Its just the goblins! I went through the sabretooth area and they were all up, yet Goblins were "popping" on the screen slowly, even the ones at close range - but I could see Windsisters and Sabretooths in the distance without problem -Very strange...

Message Edited by agressiv3 on 01-31-2007 06:56 PM

Noticed this last time I ran through PoF on Splitpaw server, and we don't have LU31 for some hours still. It's not related to the update.

It's all part of the rendering / loading of graphics bug they know about.Playing around with some settings may help such as putting bumpy light thingy slider to max in the Lighting section, maybe the rendering distance, etc.

i run a pretty beefy box and in i went to check my mail after the patch lastnight (game had been up awhile), anyways in QH it took the mailbox over 2 minutes to render. I know this because i logged in ran to mailbox, went to make a cup of tea (120s in microwave to warm up the water)

when i sat down i waited, thumbed thruthe board on my laptop about the changes, nerfs, and bugs... then beep beep beep... i went to check my tea came back and it just poped as i was about to feedback.

sony pls fix this loading bug...

This has been a problem for some time now (too long in my opinion). I've lost track of how many times it's gotten me killed while in Steamfont. I'd be running through the minotaur area, and be thinking "wow, it's pretty clear around here. someone must have come by and killed them all", then all of a sudden i'm getting pounced on by a gaggle of 10 minotaurs that popped seemingly from out of thin air.

Same in town, I've gotten used to running up to the vendor near the bank in Kelethin, and just double clicking on the area where i know she is. I end up selling my junk to an invisible person.

This should be a high priority, but it doesn't seem to be. It's been around since I was in my 30's, and now I'm in my 50's. And I'm a casual player.

Anyone heard anything recent on if they are still looking into this? I've had "pop" problems since the Frostfell update. I've stopped playing for about a month because of this. I occasionally log in at Twin Tears in SS just to check. Still happening there. I'll have to cancel my account soon because it just makes the game unplayable to me. I hope they are working on it, but it seems like they think it's fixed from their last update.

The only zone where I've noticed it being a problem was Nek castle with the fleshripper dudes. Other than that mobs render fine for me. Granted, I've never been to any T7 zones, but I was in Living Tombs a night ago and we had no problems w/ non-rendering mobs, same w/ Clefts and PoF.

I had the same problem last night with my monk in PoF. Thank god I figured out in time what happened...I feigned death with barely even a sliver of life. HIGHLY annoying. I have had this happen in other zones as well but this was very pronounced.

It's something to do with humanoids, same issues with Minataur in BB and many many other zones. It looks like the place is empty so you go wandering up only to get slapped in the face with 100 mobs.
