View Full Version : Why do plat pharmers love The Forbidden Sepulcher?

You might ask yourself this question when you head to Everfrost and see groups of three plat pharmers at a time, zoning in and out and in and out for hours.  This has been going on for weeks, maybe even months. What I know is each trip can net you 3-4% in about 6 minutes, and if you zone out without killing the final named (which I'm sure was the intent of the zone), there is zero lockout.  Is there anything I'm missing? If I do recall, the ring event droags in Bonemire's Blackscale Sepulcher had their XP reduced to zero because the devs did not want players forfeiting the rest of the T7 content for their adventuring and grinding.  Maybe there was more to it; I was not as active on the forums at the time. For zone failure, all you need to add is maybe a 20 minute lockout on failure and you automatically make this zone unviable for plat pharmer grinding (which the zone was clearly not meant for anyway) while not dramatically discouraging the adventuring quality of the zone.<div></div>

When I played on pvp, all I did was sit outside there and watch about 50 different bots zone in and out every 30 seconds. It was hilarious.Go there now and they are probably still doing it non stop 24hrs a day.<div></div>

I am guessing they are after Adepts and Treasuered items. Which sell for about 10 gold to npc vendor. So i am guessing what they do is aggro the whole zone and aoe with warlocks and wizards. That is easy for them since they are usally locked at lvl 50. <div></div>

So, according to you, we should just give them a free pass.  Way to go.<div></div>

Keep them out of my areas and im happy. They will farm no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT. So give them the spot where you can have a gm watch and ban at will <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>I would have to agree with Tiko...  the botter/farmers will be in the game no matter what, so I would much rather them be in a zone where they aren't in my way.</P> <P>~Valarye - 70 Bruiser~</P>

<DIV>Yes they will go someplace else, but it's in everyone's best interest to make it as difficult for these hateful jerks as possible.  No, wer'e probably not going to be able to stop it short of SOE actually doing something outright legally aggressive, but pinching into their bottom line at every opprotunity is something I'm all for.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Today's 30 something bot in Forbidden Sepulcher is powerlevelled to the next stage of their miserable lives and is group bot farming some overland area soon enough.  It may not bother you today, but it will eventually.</DIV>
