I had this bug before in certains big zones, Solusek Eye and Sanctum of Scaleborn, those zones make me go LD every 10 minutes or so, this is the old EQ has run out of memory bug and need to close. -sigh- I have the same bug in Castle Mistmoore, huge lag, even if my graphics were reduced way down and going LD every 10 min. Please if you read this, I hope SOE will work on this memory bug, I cannot go in those zones because of this and I know it's not just me. It seems to happen with huge zones, please find a way and fix the bug. I do want to go in Castle Mistmoore.

CM has problems period. In a raid I have to turn down things past the Extreme Performance defaults.Lowering all rending, lighting, distances, etc to make everything looke like mud during a raid is a must.

I have 2 gigs, i dont go LD, but the lag is so bad in Castle Mistmore that it is not uncommon for the entire group to lag at the same time aka server lag, and once there is 20 or more in zone it starts to get bad, add over 30 and it starts to become unplayable due to 5+ seconds of lag on every pull, especially in the piano room. On top of that if you are in the zone when i guild goes to raid forget about it you are going to lag just moving around, and this is server lag it has nothing to do with the players computer, did some x2 mobs in here with guild and it was silly bad lag, this zone is just horrible with lag plain and simple and if you dont get lag then you havenot been in the zone with more than 1 group in the zone.

This is in the update of today.***Performance***

Corrected a problem that was potentially causing low memory usage or out-of-memory crashes on machines with 4GB RAM or more.

----Craig "Grimwell" DalrympleFixing the bug that cause crash for people with 4GB or more? O_O With luck, that will fix my bug too, but useless to say, I do not have 4 GB of RAM....

I was actually in the zone with guild going down to raid, 2 other guilds were in zone and total population of zone was 77 i think i saw me move ever 10 seconds or so, but clearly no problem and I have 2gigs of ram no more no less so the 4gb ram fix will have no affect once so ever for me, and the work around for that I have heard is to up your graphics settings to use more of your ram, I know it sounds wierd but a few guildes had to turn up thier graphics to be able to play. Also needless to say our raid wiped twice due to lag going down to inner santuim, then proceeded to clear up untill boss with only 1 wipe.... lag the new challenge.
Message Edited by simpwrx on 01-25-2007 10:26 AM
