Hey all. I'm still fairly new to the game, so I don't know if what I've been trying to do is even possible solo, but here goes. Tried to get through the Splitpaw Upper Tunnels by myself as a L29 Fury two days ago, and ended up leaving because I just couldn't get through it to the village.I did make a right when I got in, and didn't attack the ^^^ Heroics towards the left. I started clearing out the mobs without too much problem until I went down. The ghosts and undead down there respawn at a very fast rate. Being a Fury I can't really melee things with too much success and getting jumped by 3-4 things at once really drains the power. I couldn't find any safe spots to stop for a bit to regen power as things were respawning in weird places. Is this the way it's supposed to be? I chose the "Easy" instance, and everything was even level to -2 so I wasn't facing things much higher than I was.I had assumed (incorrectly, I guess), that since it would be possible to at least solo down to the village, is there anything else I can do to accomplish this, or should I just get a group to go down there and clear it out. Thanks all.

I think you're going the wrong way if you're getting the respawning undead. Once you reach the first cavern of undead there are 2 ways out, one is a ramp down on the right side which leads to the randomly spawning ghosts. This doesn't go to the village. On the left side of that area is a small tunnel that dead ends. This has a cracked wall - blow that up and go through that way to find more live gnolls that don't respawn to reach to the den.

Message Edited by tkia on 01-20-2007 11:57 AM

Thanks for the response, I'll go back in and explore again. Just to clarify, after the first room with the live gnolls, and some bats. There's a hold in the ground, I should jump down here and then go the the left?

Nothing in the zone respawns. The ghost gnolls at the bottom are a set amount. They just appear and disappear.Take it slow and pull them as they pop asap.Eventually you will have cleared the area.Nothing sees invis as well if it is within the safe invis con range of you.Jumping down the hole is just the quick way down to the skeletons and ghosts. It is best to clear on the way in case the treasure key dropping gnoll past that area is spawned by properly clearing to it. I think if you skip steps it will not spawn.
Message Edited by Brigh on 01-20-2007 05:52 AM

After you kill all the gnolls and bats in the first room, blast the wall, go through, kill the undead gnolls there, and across the room to the left there is a passage thatr leads down to another wall to blast, blast that, kill gnolls and the purple blobs (name escapes me atm), build a bridge to the landing to the right, blast that wall and you are in. Of course if you have invis you can skip the killing part, it is possible to invis through the whole thing in a matter of 4-5 minutes once you know where you need to go.
