I mean serioiusly, the layout of the new zones makes Nek look enjoyable!  They are dreadful to get around, stupid unpassable bits, river valleys they you have to run for an age to get out of etc.  If these were your first experience of EQII would you stay?<div></div>

Guild Wars has even worse pathing and look how popular it is. Granted the lack of a monthy fee is probably a significant contributor but still. . .

Don't remember which zone is was in, New Tunaria or Lesser Fae I think.  Was very silly anyway.  And getting to Lesser Fae from G Fae is a nightmare too.<div></div>

I detest Greater faydark, love new tunaria, love lesser faydark, buthcerblock is ok, steamfont is nice and loping plains is really good. Its personal preference, learn the zones and you soon appreciate them more although this hasnt worked for Gfay which i would still like to see burnt down (again).

Yeah, SF was an awsome PvP zone when EoF was first released.  Never see anyone there now, specially not any FP.<div></div>

<DIV>Dont forget to do the stable quests in L.Fay. Makes getting around the zone super easy.</DIV>

I also detest GFay, however I think part of the problem is that we are so used to using the map tool to get around and explore zones, however the map in GFay (and many other new zones) is made virtually useless by the fact that the scale is too small and you often can not see physical obsticles until you are on top of them.<div></div>

I despise the design of GFay.  I understand that the Fae have their nice little glide jumps which helps them get around, but that still leaves the rest of us running into valleys and cliffs that require a good bit of travelling to get around.  This was all well and good when I was new to the zone and amazed by the look of it, but frankly, it's getting to the point where I hope some gnome figures out a doomathingy that gets the Nexus Spires to function again.

I am a new player and my first xp being on EQ2 was as a Fae through the trial, seeing this post brought back the frustration of getting around G Fay, it drove me crazy!! Lucky the first area had me hooked almost straight away. Having never played the game I would have thought that there would have been a bit more of an introduction to the entire game which was lacking but the first lot of quests were great!I can rember running around like a dill trying find and follow the directions of NPCs and boucing from a map on the net and back again and still banging into walls tring to find my around to my destination. It was only a fluke after jumping off a tree at the right time that I found the acorn lift lol.I bought the game based on the first part and would have thrown it to the wind if it was based on G Fay.Based on that xp I would doubt whether I would ever play one of those wonderful little winged creatures and they realy are fantastic little dears.<div></div>

<DIV>I think that the layout of gfay was designed such specifically because of glide.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just imagin if fay started in commonlands? not much use of glide there and not much fun...</DIV>

<DIV>I didn't like GFay much at first from a navigation prespective. Now I've learned my way around it properly though I quite like it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mirdo. </DIV>

As my signature shows I rather took it out on the little winged dears by charming mobs and one shotting greys <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<P>I started playing EQ2 shortly before the EoF expansion came out and have a 64 Fury for my main.</P> <P>So far my favorite zones are Maj Dal, TT, TS and Ant.</P> <P>I can not stand the Freeport zones, and although I love the beauty of the EoF zones, they are difficult to navigate.  Travelling the first time from TS to GF was a real pain in the butt, and even now there are many EoF zones that are hard for me to find a path to.  </P> <P>In a way having such a complicated layout for the EoF zones is good because it forces you to explore, but it's a real pain when you're just trying to get to the zone and have to spend ages wondering around in circles trying to find it.  This is even worse if you are not a fae or scout and don't have any safefall  <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>
