My guild decided to attempt the ring event which is at the back of the New Tunariaa zone and involves many groups of 65x2 Mobs. IMHO New Tunariaa is the best looking zone in EQ2 but its content is definitely lacking, I was hoping this ring event would be interesting. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here's how the event went for us - </DIV> <DIV>- Middle fountain clear 4 groups of 64x2 mobs with 4 mobs in each one = 16</DIV> <DIV>- Mobs repopped around fountain in different configuration 4 groups of 4 mobs each = 16</DIV> <DIV>- Mobs popped out on the wings of the courtyard , 4 groups of 4 - 16</DIV> <DIV>- Mobs popped back around fountain - People starting to wonder - 4 groups of 4 = 16</DIV> <DIV>- Mobs pop on the other wing of the courtyard - 4 groups of 4 = 16. </DIV> <DIV>- A very large group of mobs pop up top near the castle entrance - 48 epic mobs in small groups </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- Thats 128 epic mobs to clear just to get any named to pop - It took us over an hour - more like an hour and a half with some afk's in there</DIV> <DIV>- I did not include the multiple times we had to clear roamers and sentries. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another of our guild leaders had attempted this raid in Beta - it was the reason we decided to even give this a go - and he said that 2 nameds popped for them. One's name was something of the dawn, and the other was something of the Dusk</DIV> <DIV>- What we had pop were 3 named high elfs called the Council of Elders or something similar</DIV> <DIV>- We pulled those and to our chagrin - No AA whatsoever and no loot. By this time people in the guild are getting frustrated and we are starting to peruse the forums to see if we missed anything. Another group of the council elders pop well over 10 minutes after death of the first group - Different names same result - No AA, No Loot. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Nothing else happened - end of raid I waited around a long time to see if we missed anything. My guildie that did beta said this event dropped loot. </DIV> <DIV>- This has got to be broken. Does SOE seriously think anyone will ever try this raid if you can spend well over an hour clearing to get the named pop and then theres a chance to walk away with nothing? Is this ring event broken or is it 'working as intended' and there is a chance the named will never pop? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> My guild has a fairly decent raid force and we had the two full groups you could use on this but we are casual and only can manage 1 or 2 raids a week. I left New Tunariaa Last night with a bitter taste in my mouth promising to everyone that next time we won't try the bugged EoF stuff and will do a KoS raid thats proven /sigh</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Something needs to be done to fix that ring event. In my opinion to fix all of New tunariaa.
