View Full Version : Major rendering bug in Nek Castle?

<div></div>Has anyone been seeing major rendering delays on mobs? Last night 2 friends and I were running around in Nek Castle and fairly often we'd have patchwork soldiers or other mobs that'd spawn and attack us but weren't visible or targetable. What'd usually happen is we'd be attacked by thin air ("target nearest mob" wouldn't target anything at all, no mob was visible), then after 5 seconds or so I could target a mob and see the targetting arrow and ring but no mob was visible, then after another 5 seconds the mob itself appeared. Almost every one of the walkers on the roof area of the castle did this, you'd walk across an empty walkway and suddenly *BLAM* you were getting hit. Same thing in the room with Crysta and the other Everling sister paired, they both engaged us but weren't visible or targettable for a good 5 seconds (and that's a long time with two triple-up heroics nailing you).I'm pretty sure it's not a local-system issue, since 4 people with 4 radically different system configurations down to the basic hardware were seeing the same behavior and amount of delay. I /bug'd the issue while we were there. And this issue seems to be new as of yesterday, Wednesday and earlier I can't recall seeing it happen.<div></div>

<DIV>I was just about to post something about this. I don't know if it's happening in any other zones, but there's a MASSIVE mob-invis problem in Nektropos 1.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It isn't happening with all the mobs, either, but as an example of something I've seen consistently across multiple runs through over the last few days on multiple characters with the SAME results displaying on friends' machines:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you go left or right out of the main courtyard you will run into a see-invis guard at the end of the first hallway. They're always there until killed, and respawn fairly quickly. If you run by them right now, you won't even know they're there until or unless they agro on somebody.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My conjuror had them greyed out, but my travelling companions did not. I found the easiest way to deal with the problem was to walk near his spot, throw my AE spell, and then let my PET find him when he attacked me. After 5-10 seconds of fighting, he would finally show himself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This seems to be happening very consistently, so I hope some devs read this and look into it!</DIV>
