What makes me wonder you might ask.... well how to kill the 2 dragons and complete my DT access really

Does anyone have any links to information or strategies they would be willing to share with me to take the guild in for the 1st run tonight ? Any help appreciated. We have downed Vyemm and just done the AoAx2 to get the access. We do Labs weekly and do very well in there even with the changes, getting to if not killing Vyemm depending on time and who we have in the night.

Oh... and we are a "Casual Raiding Guild". We have well kitted out characters of most classes but we arent an uber hard core raid guild.

Last I heard, AOA 4x is still not adjusted to the EoF Combat system. This is suppose to be corrected on the next LU. Well see.

Generally thoughts - fight both on the top floor.

Gorenaire - ports target, so have at least 3 to 4 tanks. They all need to be fighting for aggro.

Talendor - generates 2 adds for every "thing" inside his aoe (tank, pets, etc) (like the Heat Dragon in AoA 2x)

BTW - you do have access to the 4x version ? If not, you'll want to finish AoA 2x first

Many thanks for the info. Hope your wrong on the adjustment though

Yes got AoA x2 to give the AoA x4 access just the other night. A right nightmare it was to take out the heat dragon on our 2nd try but we took our normal coercer in the MT group and another in the DPS group. They guys did an amazing job of mezzing the adds that popped considering they all looked the same and they got to the point of not knowing what was and what was not mezzed

We only need it to get the last 2 dragons to reclaim DT access in honesty. Hopefully they are easier than Vyemm and go down without to much of a push

Lol, DON'T fight on the top. Fighting on the top + ports = bad magic. Have a bruiser tank Gore who ports, so if they get ported up top, they can jump down with safe fall. By no means fight up top lol.

On Talendor, you can fight wherever, WAY easier on bottom. No pets except AE immune. And basically, in between AE, have debuffers runin quickly and debuff, and all the typical stuff. Just if the AE hits any toon or pet, incluing swarm pets, it spawns 2 mobs per entity hit. BAD BAD thing.

yes fight on bottom but since they nerfed falling dmg we use platte tanks again and they just jump down from the top lvl

Well, we did on top. Yeah it can be tanked on the 2nd floor, since falling damage was dropped.

I found, that when the AoE goes off on Gorenaire, that the adds the spawn in the circles, start on the 2nd Floor, with the last circle on the top floor being filled.

Whatever works for ya.

My guild got slaughtered in there trying to kill Gorenaire last night. We only took 3 pulls, but he was really really hard. We can clear labs every time, and clear Lyceum to the last named (get him down to last stance and wipe), MoA4 is easy as pie for us, but Gorenaire was very very difficult for us. We did have a little different raid setup than normal though, and had a paladin MT which isn't really normal for us, so IDK... I just expected him to be a lot easier. I never tried him before LU29, so I can't compare.

I think, that Gorenaire and Talendor are up for corrections with LU30 (along with MOA 4x dragon, although that may have happened already).

Both have almost double the hitpoints of pre EOF. We've tried Talendor, 3 times (or 4) times post EOF (we had gotten Gorenaire pre-EOF).

We know how to do Talendor, but at 2.5 million HP, he has not been doable for us yet.

I thought Tal was alot easier than before.

Sure he has alot more hps but he doesn't hit the tank very hard and if you joust correctly and don't get overrun by adds then he is really really easy.

Thanks for the info all. We took on Gor and got him to about 34% before we wiped on the best shot. We were hitting 11-12k dps too and have a decent raid force. In the end he just beat us on raw HP. Be nice to see those changes and get in there. The biggest hit though was the trash getting to him - taking as long as you would expect to take on nameds and hitting a lot harder they took us more than an hour to reach to spawn points. We still had a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] good laugh at how long the trash took to fall and had a go our 1st run in there so lets see how we go on the 2nd

Talendors HP got reduced with todays update, but Gorenaire was unchanged.
