I recently got into eq2. I had played the original since year one until a bit after Luclin, and absolutely loved it. Unrest was probably my favoritezone, so i was overjoyed when i heard they would be implementing it again. I was dismayed however when someone the other night said it was a 70+ raid zone.....

The original unrest was accesible to a great range of levels, are they really going to make it available only to the upper elite now? I wont have a character reach 70, ever(ill probably reach 50 max). Im not that hardcore a player. I realize im highly outnumbered on these forums, most of you ARE upper lvl elite players, i guess im just trying to confirm whether the zone is actually going to be just for you guys. If so, that really, really sucks.

Message Edited by ShaedenVI on 12-15-2006 01:31 PM
It's a Level 70+ Heroic Zone, not a raid zone. Getting to Level 70 is not that hard to do.

It is a group zone, however, I really wish they made a raid version of it

Unless a dev states definitively, no one knows for 100% certain. It wasn't even accessible for the beta testing so none of us there have any special insight.

Given that there has been much speculation about higher level questlines that end abruptly and some content that seems to lead players towards what could conceivably be Unrest, I'd guess it'll be on par with at least Loping Plains levels. Then again, that's just a guess, and not definitive.

<Editing> Perhaps a dev *has* stated its level range somewhere. I just haven't seen it yet. </editing>

~Hawke

Message Edited by Wulfborne on 12-15-2006 01:50 PM

ShaedenVI wrote:LOL. Spoken like a true hardcore

No, it's spoken like somebody who has no content to do at Level 70. You've played this game a week. I've played this game over 2 years now. There isn't that much content left for me to do that isn't trivialized by being Level 70. So please, quit acting like you're a hot shot. Seriously, getting to Level 70 has been possible to since February, it's December. That's 10 months to get from Level 60 to 70, 6 months to get from Level 50 to 60, and another 10 months to get from Level 1 to 50. Getting to Level 70 isn't hard, unless you suck at the game.

That is just not right to say. I have been playing since 4 days after release. I dont have any level 70 adventurers. Got quite a few crafters that level though. Some people just liekto take it slow. Most days, I dont enjoy the grinding and killing mob after mob. Sometimes I like to quest and Craft. It doesnt mean that I "suck". I just have different priorities than someone else. Everyone has their reason to play. The OP has a solid comment. No reason to insult. Where are the lower dungeons? I would like to see a tier 2 in Faydwer! hehe... Enjoy the game that you pay to play.. everyone else is :smileywink:

From what you describe, getting to 70 wouldn't be hard for you if that were your priority, so why be defensive about what he wrote?

If you played eq1, you will be AMAZED at how easy it is to level in this game. You could honestly solo to lvl 70 regardless of class (something you could never do in eq1 unless you were a a select few classes such as bard, conjuror, druid, or necro) With the combat changes you can use quested and crafted armor and really not be that far behind some of the top raiders in the game as far as survivability, even as a tank class. So I think even though you plan on only getting to level 50, you will be surprised at how easy it is to level. Discovery xp is something eq1 never had, and quest xp is actually valuable in eq2, whereas in eq1 you would almost never do a quest for the experience it gave you. As far as people bashing what pinski said... learn to read please. He never said anything about people choosing the slow path and not focusing on levels. He merely stated that if getting to lvl 70 is your goal, and you cannot accomplish it, you suck. Even though he often seems to be arrogant beyond belief and thinks he is gods gift to the gaming world, he is right on this one.

[Removed for Content], I was not taking offense at it. I was just pointing out that there are reasons why people arent level 70. His comment was pretty general which would be why I pointed that out.... hehe....

I used my "maracle jump boots" and lept right over the unrest wall.....you know whats there?

a big pile of nothing, just a barren flat long green island

the map shows there is supposed to be a bridge but there wasnt, so i jumped the gap over to the island. nothing there, the map shows a small structure in the middle of the island but its prety much flat and green,

if you fall in teh water you have to use a water walking stone and launch yourself out of the water. like some sort of rocket powered dolphin, because the ramp to get out of the water is 2 feet above the waterline so you cant get out by normal means...yet
