Does anyone else get the impression that Norrath is too spread out now?I like the new expansion but it feels like groups are much harder to form now with transportation becoming a large barrier.Could we maybe get spire teleportation for sorcerers to the Enchanted Lands, Zek, and Feerrott spires?Could we allow shamans to also use druid rings?Could we get some carpet access from Kelethin to Sinking Sands?Could we allow the spire in Greater Faydark to port up to Tenebrous Tangle?Could we allow the Harbormaster to sell tickets to Enchanted Lands, Zek, Lavastorm, and Everfrost as he does on the PvP servers?<div></div>

Personally I think the world is fine as it is now. Traveling takes a little bit of time which is fine. Druids make traveling faster as do Sorcerers just get a port to the ant / cl spire and take it to TT then go wherever in KOS you need to go. SS might be the only one that takes a little bit of time but the run from Gfay to BB is not bad at all. Finally a horse has some use now compared to just running.<div></div>

I don't find it too bad. Running to Kelethin from BB dock is about the longest run I need to do. I have Call of Qeynos and Call of Ro to get me quickly back to Qeynos or DoF (and from there to KoS or TS/Nek docks and the plethora of destinations available from there). Using CoQ, I can be on TS dock in less than a minute from anywhere in the game. The carpet on BB dock to Sinking Sands (and via SS to Qeynos) can be helpful as well if my CoQ and CoR arent ready yet.<div></div>

I heard there was a carpet on BB docks to SS but I thought it was a myth. I searched all over and never found it. Where is it?<div></div>
The world is way too small. It takes at most 10 minutes to get anywhere. The world seems too small to me.

<P>If anything, the world is very small. There is absolutely no sense of distance between two different places....not even between Faydwer and the rest of the shattered lands. Unfortunately, this was by design. Instead of creating a large continuous world, we have a small world with a different theme for each island. The zones are smaller still with very few open areas and more points of interest. The idea is, if there is nothing interesting between points A and B, leave out the land inbetween. This idea has become persistant since the release of DoF. Is it bad? Probably not since EQ2 is largely a casual game.</P> <P>Faydwer is the start of breaking the mold of themed isles though. However, it still seems smaller than its EQ1 counter-part to me. I don't think we'll see truely massive areas in EQ2 though. Each expansion doesn't seem to make the world bigger to me since there is little continuity between zones.</P>

<DIV>I also feel they are too small. Consider, based on a question I asked in the Lore forum, Antonica and TS combined, or CL and Nek combined is maybe roughly the size of Australia. I.E. Very large island to small continent sized. Yet...it takes moments to even go across it at normal walk speed. Put it another way, if this was real, Windstalker village would be at least a good 1000 miles away maybe. Bare minimum 500 or so from Qeynos. No, I don't want it to take a half hour to go from the either Qeynos Gate to the TS gate. But, the world seems a lot smaller then it should, IMO. We're literally hopping from continent to continent in the blink of an eye. Even if the estimate of how large each landmass is lore wise is much too large, even if we're looking at let's say an island the size of Iceland for each major land mass, it still seems pretty small to me, way we travel now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So..for me, this is a welcome change. Don't want to sit forever on travel, but don't mind the wait. Anyway...even if you're not on an RP server, you have possibly a minute or two at the dock, and a minute on the boat..strike up a conversation. It's a MMO...talk to the other players. Take advantage of the travel time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
