<DIV> <P>Is this still a focus point for Encounters/Items/Zones for the current SOE Dev team?<SPAN> </SPAN>If so I believe some tuning/Tweaking/Altering of either Encounters/Zones/Drops needs to be changed for some zones.</P> <P>The other night a guild group of mine went in to MistmooreCastle to check it out.<SPAN> </SPAN>As everyone knows this is a high level zone with Heroic encounters of level 71-76 mobs with groups consisting of 1-5 mobs.<SPAN> </SPAN>Lots of fun for sure.<SPAN> </SPAN>The thing is, while the zone is fun, I don’t think the Risk vs Reward is really there for this zone.<SPAN> </SPAN>We killed I think 4-5 named in MMCastle that night, and all we got was Treasured items that were on par with MasterCrafted armor.<SPAN> </SPAN>Level 65ish MasterCrafted armor off a lvl 75^^^ named mob that’s a good ways into MistmooreCastle?<SPAN> </SPAN></P> <P>Also trash mobs have a terrible drop rate of items such as Adepts/Sell loot, if any.<SPAN> </SPAN>Actually thinking back, I think only the Named mobs dropped chests and these chests were all Treasured.</P> <P>Doesn’t seem like the reward is worth the Risk you take in Mistmoore.<SPAN> </SPAN>As it is now, you hardly see anyone in the zone, other than farming the collection quest items at the zone in.</P></DIV>
Their common drops from what I saw are far superior to Mastercrafted gear, and their uncommon drops are among the best in the game.

<DIV>/bow to the devs for MMC. This zone is absolutely fantastic. A bit laggy yes, but that aside the challenging encounters and wealth of named mobs makes this both fun and rewarding. As for the loot, well I totally agree with the previous posters - the common loot is v interesting, the legendary drops (not seen any fabled yet) is just out of this world.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For added fun, put 2 groups together and try the x2 stuff. Wow. I could spend an entire weekend in that place and not get bored.</DIV>

<DIV>personally, the combination of Catacombs and Castle (since they are connected), makes this my favourite zone in the game bar-none. It's huge, it's challenging and it's fun.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes, some of the drops suck. but some of the drop are quite excellent. Some of the drop are insanely good too (like hate proccing cloak - WIN!). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The quests for the castle are great also, while they aren't by any means easy to do, there is no named camping involved and you know that as long as your group keeps going good, you will get your updates. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I could go for a bit more consistency on the named mobs, expecially the named X2, since we've now gotten 2 legendary and about 15 (Crappy) treasured off the named X2s. But overall I think the castle is quite good. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Btw, chests do drop off trash. Also, while you might not get as much loot, the shineys tend to sell really really well.</DIV>

<DIV>My original post was misleading slightly, we have gone in several times, and roamed around killing all the named we encounter, I would say most named we have killed 3-4 times now. We have only gotten 1 Legendary and that was off the Piano dude. What I meant by this thread is, in a zone like this, shouldnt the named mobs have a higher chance of dropping better leg-master chests? And I dont think the Treasured loot is that much better than MC'ed, its actually on par, atleast the 2 plate drops I have seen were. The Jailor bracer is almost identical to the MasterCrafted one, except instead of Def it has Parry and about 16 more MIT.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This thread is about Risk vs Reward. Do you really think that getting a treasured chest off a lvl 75 Named deep in MMC is a good reward for the risk involved?</DIV>

<P>A more accurate question would be, are the pair of legendary set pants and 5 pieces of crap treasured worth 6 trips to the castle?</P> <P>My answer... i dunno...I wouldn't do it for the shammy pants. I would do it in a second for the cleric ones. </P> <P>Plus, you get more than one named in a trip, so you probably get a bit more. That being said, I would agree with a bit more consistency off the named, even if it means making them harder ( i posted this last part in another thread on this topic, sorry).</P>

Look at Nizara, it involves lv72-75 named, do you get legendary everytime? No, but the treasured is still pretty decent. There are at least 3 pieces of loot from each mob, a common treasured(which isn't very good), an uncommon treasured(which is really good), and a rare legendary(which most of the time blows the crap out of everything, including raid loot). You are playing with the RNG, and losing. Keep trying until you win.

<DIV>Nizara is nothing now, after the changes that were made to the DoT, the zone is now EZ-MODE. Also yes, Nizara's named mobs seemed to have a higher chance of dropping Leg items.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But whatever, I dont think the Risk vs Reward is there.....but its just my opinion. </DIV>

<DIV>MMC is done very well. You can run into some bad luck there, no doubt, but there are some nice pickups, epecially for raid tanks. There is a group encounter hate procing legendary cloak. There is also a group encounter hate procing legendary belt which is better than the claymore belt and it can be adorned. The cloak is off an x2, but I got the belt from a solo mob at the enterance.</DIV>
