While New Tunaria is a good sized zone and an attractive zone graphicaly I am not finding much to do from an adventuring perspective. I am sure that I am missing a lot of stuff but have not been able to put it together. I am aware that there are a couple collection quests that take place in this zone but I am looking for some good named hunting and quests.

Exploring the zone solo can be tricky since several heroic mobs, that are still green at lvl 70, see through invis. I have been able to explore almost all of the zone, however, I am not finding much to do. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone out there is willing to share some of the tricks to this zone that I must be missing.

the palace should be open but sadly it is not

You are certainly not alone in feeling this way about New Tunaria. What a beautifully well made but empty feeling zone. It felt like what would happen if you just took Qeynos or Freeport and made ever NPC kos without adding much else. Hopefully the dev team will revisit it at some point, make it more like Kaladim and Ak'Anon in terms of fun. They've already got a great start in the design of the zone, its the best looking one in the expansion probably.

Aluvius

Dunno kaladim feels kinda empty to me too. I have done most of the quests in eof, but new tunaria doesnt have much to it and kaladim did not either. To tell the truth i havent seen any loot from new tunaria that warrant people to enter that zone. i think the zoen was done and populated but it seemed rushed and incomplete for a city which has strong ties to the Mayong/thex/and kelethin areas. It seems ALOT is missing. Although Kaladim is better it to can use some help.

Kaladim is really good...the thing about Kaladim is that there are alot of ring events (at least 5 of them) and alot of other good nameds spawn on top of buildings which are out of the way of people doing quests or farming shinies so the ph's never get killed...

New Tunaria could definitely use some work though...at lvl 70, I've only seen 3 green nameds on the top side of the zone (2 statues and a goat dude) and I've seen 2 ring events on the south side of the zone but from what I understand, the ring events don't give aaxp or loot right now...

I think both zones are incomplete. For the most part they are really good zones with minor bugs, but it seems half the zone is missing, there just isnt anything to do inside them. To many doors that you cant click on in tunaria

This zone is EVERYTHING of what Everquest is all about! It is gorgeous, the level design is perfect, this is what the game needs to look like everywhere, this kind of detail. whoever designed this zone needs a fat fat raise or promotion.Whoever did the content needs to be fired or clobbered. building a zone to that extent needs love.I honostly think that tunaria should be higher priority than unrest.

I have to agree here. Everytime i go in there and see less than 5 people in the zone it makes me mad. by far the coolest looking zone ever in EQ2 yet its just empty and boring.

Clear out all the green mobs, add a bunch of level 70+ heroic encounters with namers at the front. Progress to EPIC x2 and then EPIC x4 at the very back. Then it will be worthwhile going there.

Or just do something with it....anything.

There is a x2 event in the way back with the x2 guards, its probly doable with a solid 4 or 5 man team tho, so in all honesty its not a true epic encounter, Some lvl 66 or 68 named x2 spawned at way top after at least 10 rounds of the ring event.. Dropped legendary mage loot, imo w/e im just glad after me and few people ran that event for near an hr and almost quit and left [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] name spawned...

So yeah not much to NT, saw just a bunch of possibilities with ring event like rooms that where empty, but would appear to have more to them. And the 2 towers of the guard i believe are accessable with a questline near enterance of the zone.. If i get in ill post more

Amazing graffics/layout on NT, but as rest said rather boring and incomplete.. Im sure SOE will charge us $7-$15 for the rest of the zone =/

I have found quite a few greenies in this zone at level 70...you just have to get to it.
There are also a bunch of quests you can do from the towers...I personally see this as a 60's zone, so it makes sense to me that there isn't so much for lvl 70s.

I am hoping and looks to be that the castle in there looks like the kos epic zones that were there before you could enter them.

Will become a new epic zones in time to come.

Gives them a place for more content.

Like the fountain of zek in crusbone... ??? maybe will be a portal one day ?

I have seen a few places that look like they may become a zone in the future.

I would love a raid instance of that whole map. It would be very enjoyable, compared to the old instances of KoS.

My experience:Durring Beta, I ran through here, poking at an occasional green mob, FD'ing and invising my way through most of the zone, only to find location dings, annoying greens, and a whole lot of nothing. I merely figured that to really experience the zone, I would need a group and trek into those un-soloable areas and discover an instance, higher level hidden area, ring events, or the like, so I waited 'till it went live.I just got done with a group in there, and we pounded out the 2 (rather lame and over-all pointless) quests that are initiated in the 2 towers in the entrance. Needless to say, I was sorely dissappointed at all the dead ends, un-clickable doors, push-over mobs, and complete lack of content. This place is pretty, but it's a 1-time-only place. After running through it once, you're done. No need to bring an alt here. No need to return for that groovy piece of equipment that would be dropped by the named mobs, if they existed. No need to collect anything, since most all the vases and spear heads can be bought for fair prices. My advice is, spend 5 minutes in this zone and leave. You've seen all it has to offer.

Message Edited by Ikky Yummy on 12-16-2006 11:47 PM

Agree completly. Soloed almost every named in the zone and some of the ring events with my sk. Did the quests and the 2 collections all in one night. Beautiful looking zone with nothing in it. The treasured loot and legendary was all garbage. The effort required to get through this zone for the level of the loot that drops is horrible. Remined me of the crapy treasured loot in dof and the junk that drops in kaladim. Overall the loot in EOF is horrible unless you have a hardcore raid guild. What toon at level 67 is going to use a earing with +10 wis and 40 hp 40 mana? You can get better loot by going to a level 30-40 zone like rov than level 60-70 loot in EoF. Cloak of the Dark lord is exactly the same as a level 62 mastercrafted cloak which btw is also the same as a level 35-40 quest reward in steamfont. Whoever did Itemization for this expansion should be hung, shot, stuffed and mounted with a plaque showing those who come after what not to do.

I got most of the nameds, but 3 of them which seem to be off map. Gregorios Spyridon, Silas Kyriakos, and Thekla Polagia. I cant get to them and when i look at the map the orgen circle make it look like there off the map. Can anyone shed some light onto these nameds. And also what ring event besides the epic one, are here. I havent seen any. Other then the Defiled Golem(looks like one) but deosent seem to do anything.

New Tunaria at least had nice architecture. There was nothing beautiful at all about Kaladim.

It blows my mind sometimes to how much detail and design goes into a zone only to have it ruined by the content. Truely a shame. I guess this is what happens when someone shoves a deadline down someones throat.
