<DIV>I thought I had seen my share of water bugs, but this is one of the neatest. This is my Fae below the ocean in Nektulos Forest. Heading due West from the docks, I was swimming along the ocean floor, all of the sudden I dropped fully to the floor, and my horse showed up. My water breathing bar also disappeared. I could run, jump, do everything as if I were on normal ground. After some investigation it appears that the small area I was in is BELOW the 3-D block which is the ocean in Nek Forest. It is right at the edge of the map and altho I have explored the area before, I never noticed it. When I left the little dip in the ground, which is about 30' by 30' square, my horse departed and I was swimming again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.kittenpuff.com/meontheocean4.JPG"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.kittenpuff.com/meontheocean3.JPG"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.kittenpuff.com/meontheocean2.JPG"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Balance, 70 Brigand</DIV> <DIV> Shavaun, 70 Warden</DIV> <DIV> Liloo, 70 Warlock</DIV> <DIV> Nigh, 25 Swashbuckler</DIV> <DIV>Crushbone</DIV>

Were you grouped with one of the classes that get the ability allowing you to walk underwater?<div></div>

<DIV>heh. No, I was not grouped with ANYONE and certainly as a swashbuckler I get no underwater breathing skills. As I said, when I left the depression in the ground, either vertically by jumping in such a way that I left the depression OR walking out of the depression uphill, I began "swimming" the normal way again, breath bar and blurred vision etc. Here's a screenshot with my UI showing (I hid it to make the pictures prettier):</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.kittenpuff.com/meontheocean1.JPG"></DIV>

It looks to me like you clicked the stone from splitpaw quest that allows you to breath and walk underwater. The effect is called Boyiancy I beleave. It is cool I remember a Templar friend dying right after we got cuase he didn't realize he would take falling damage while effect on.

<DIV>even if he had used an item to be able to walk and breath underwater, his mount still wouldn't of come out.</DIV>

You can do this in all zones with water/oceans. It's just a matter of leaving, as you described, the "3-d block" that is designated as water.<div></div>

<DIV>I did not have the buff from Splitpaw. You can clearly see my buff bar which consists of my Swashbucker's self buffs, Pathfinding (Scout speed buff), my poison, my horse, and my leg or chest (can't remember) armor which is imbued.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> I figured it could happen in any ocean - but this is the first place I've found that has a depression under the water that was deep enough.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Balance</DIV>

<DIV>Lol that brings back memories. I experienced the same thing back when I first started playing (somewhere around LU 14 I think). It was at the small outpost in Antonica where you get the Gnoll L&L book (Gnollslayer Keep?). If we got right up against the bridge we could walk around on the bottom w/o running out of air. I remember going /afk there :smileytongue:</DIV>
