<font size="2"><font face="Arial">    Both zones are considered to hostile (be it from the climate or the inhabitants or both) to maintain a settlement.  And one of these lore junkies can come correct me if i'm wrong but, it isn't the home of the barbarians, but it USED to be the home of the barbarians.  That is why you don't see more of them, the new inhabitants forced them to move to other lands.</font></font><div></div>

<P>The remains of Halas still exist in Everfrost -- underwater --  but I would like to see an encampment of barbarians on the shore trying to reclaim and rebuild their lost homelands. A few quest NPC's and merchants would be a nice touch.</P> <P>Lavastorm is more challenging as it is an even more hostile environment. In EQ1, there were gypsy and druid merchants and NPC's plus some goblin camps. Now that Solusek Ro can be worshipped in-game, maybe there could be some deity-aligned merchants and/or NPC's added to the Temple of Solusek Ro?  (The dungeon of) Najena would be a nice addition too.</P>

A few quest NPC's and merchants would be a nice touch.</p><hr></blockquote>Actually, I think Vhalen or one of the other devs said those ruins aren't Halas, it's just some generic Barbarian village.But yes, Everfrost and Lavastorm are in desparate need of a zone revamp and the addition of some decent questlines.  Were Everfrost and Lavastorm even included in that initial revamp of outdoor zones over a year ago that made mobs solo and added those questlines?</div>
