New Tunaria Ring Event?

<DIV>Heyas, just a quick question. We went exploring into New Tunaria last night, just a group of us. As we were progressing through the zone we ran into a few groups of Epic x 2s, we had one group but we figured, why not? :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, we killed all of those, and more popped, so we killed all of those and more popped, etc etc. Eventually we came to a named that spawned up top, which we killed, and then MORE Epic x 2s spawned, so of course we killed them also. Then, a three named encounter spawned, so we figured that was it, so we pulled those three, killed them, and then the ring completely reset. Sounds good right?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well, what's not good, is after a solid hour of killing all of these Epics and watching the Ring reset...we got no AA and zero loot drops...I was certainly upset, lol.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, is this Ring event bugged, or is it for a quest? If for a quest, does anyone know which one? Or did we mess up the encounter in some way?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This has been bugging me, so just curious.</DIV>

I saw the same thing in beta.  Not sure what the event is suppose to be.  However, on the beta boards we did get a Dev to come in and say they wil be fixing the Thexian Castle in the zone.  So, I am thinking the zone is not compelte yet.....<div></div>

<DIV>The first named you got was named Valin or something. This is the NPC mentioned in the quest "The goddess the orb and the void." The quest says that Thorindar (or something) brought her a void fragment so that she would destroy it, but no one has heard back from the guy and no one knows whether or not valin would destroy it. Supposedly the void fragments have a calling similar to that of the ring in LotR. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But the quest update you need is just a clickie. I think what happened is the devs had planned to implement that whole ring event (Which is really cool IMO) into the quest. But it seems it was one of those things they didn't have time to do so they made it a click update instead. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My guess is this event does absolutely nothing, and never will do anything. Would be neat if the event was at least itemized =D</DIV>
