Chests aren't even guaranteed to drop! Wood or Steel. We petitioned a GM and found out that it is working fine. This zone does drop legendary often though. Just bad luck that you got wood.

So instead of a new post I searched and found this. Wanted to add my 2cents.

I have given up on OOB. I want to run you through my last week so far with this place and only talking about the last 3 named drops, the frist two named have been "ok", Not what I would call RISK vs REWARD for a T7 instance, but at least they drop SOMETHING...

First run ever Ring, Cloak, Necro Boots. I got my boots, wizard wins cloak and ring. Good run.

Next run, Nothing, Nothing, Necro Boots. /shrug oh well Transmute since no necro's in guild needed.

Next SIX *YES SIX, 6, 3x2, 3+3, 7-1, SIX* runs, NOTHING on the first 2 named in the trio Last named drops Druid Boots, Leather Legs on 3 of those in a row (the last 3 runs) The other 3 were a druid set, chain set, something else can't remember, guardian maybe?.

Anyways, my problem is this. Why Am I spending an hour++ a night in an instance (with a good group 40m for us) where I have a lock out just to get some exp? Why are the first two named at the end trio this COMMON to drop NOTHING. It really pisses me off to no end to drag people through that instance to try and gear us up to do better content only to waste part of my night on NOTHING. I end up losing more money then I make on port, sometimes a repair (accidents happen) for NOTHING. Please look at the drop rates, this is stupid. When the group, in a pickup group can say "Oh geez not again" or "These two are cheap *@#$'s" "Oh yay ANOTHER no box named!" don't you think maybe you should rethink your excuse you always give us when we want something and you don't want to give it to us?

RISK VS REWARD.

If there is ANY risk, and NO reward for the 99% of people that go in there, why go at all? I do not expect to have ring, or cloak drop once in 7 attempts, I have my cloak and I am more then happy to keep going back time and time again for ring, as long as i know if ring doesnt drop I will at least have a chance to loot SOMETHING. Come on soe, named that are 70+ ^^^s should drop SOMETHING. At least a [Removed for Content] WOOD box would be nice.

OOB is a short zone, with 3 named encounters that always drop chests and 2 that sometimes drop chests. Compared to Valdoons, which takes about as long, OOB has a slightly better chance of dropping more chests. If the devs were to do anything, they'd remove the 2 named that only have a chance at dropping a chest to put OOB on par with Valdoons. There's no way a zone that small will have 5 named encounters which all drop chests.
how many times have you run oob? Ill admit ive only run it about 15 times, and the first 2 named you are so happy about have never dropped anything but a crap necklace legi, and treasured loot. yup that really rocks! But good idea, don't look at one zone because another might have issues too

15 runs with my mystic. 25 runs with my swashy. Still missing the boots for my swashy I really starting to hate this place.

Can't we just put a chest by the front door where we can choose the loot we want? That would be so much easier. Then you have the option of killing the mobs for fun or xp, but if you are in a hurry and are really the whinny baby type you can get what you want and not have to work on it.
