I really hope that Kedge Keep returns, or at least SOME sort of entirely underwater dungeon. After all, we've got all sorts of methods to breathe underwater ... it would be a shame, if we don't get an underwater environment to use them in.

Maybe that is what's taking so long for Unrest to be done? They have Kedge keep at the bottom of it? (remember unrest was right across from KK, so it is possible a tunnel could have opened or been made to open between the 2) If so that would rock !

So EQ1, a 7 year old game, can have an underwater zone but EQ2 can't? Just sounds like dev laziness to me.

The zone geomatry disappears on the Z axis because they did not take the time to build zones around levitate. Fae floating and the jump boots are fine time vs investment imho. I doubt we will see anything close to levitate in older zones. Maybe newer zones

Underwater combat may come but will require some changes to underwater combat. We will see this soon, but it will require some time investment possibly through an adv pack.

A dev said that there was a choice of adding Unrest or Kedge Keep for the expansion, and the choice was Unrest. The dev also stated that Kedge Keep wouldn't have been underwater anyways.

There are some serious issues with underwater combat I guess. Maybe someday we'll see an underwater dungeon. I did hope for Kedge Keep making an appearance, as it was one of my fav zones in EQ1. But until some core mechanics are enhanced for full z-plane combat, I doubt we will see such a dungeon.

Though, I hardly had issues when fighting water creatures while submerged. However, there have been times when a creature falls far below me and can still hit me while I cannot hit it.

They also said they had no plans of ever introducing pvp let alone pvp servers. Anything is possible in the future. All depends on the direction of the game and the vision of their product compared to other online games to stay competetive.

Never say never. There is no absolution in an online MMO especially with todays mechanics.

There is an underwater zone ingame already in Splitpaw, it is a pita that no one uses, so if you like underwater zones go there for one, odds are you will have it all to yourself.
