Body pulling is simply inching close to a mob until it notices you, right?

It's the whole difference of success and failure if tanks know what to do.. I had a tank in my group in HOF run and did horrible job and kept wiping us til I told him just to do body pull but he didn't really understand and kept shooting to pull. I jumped in and tell him that as bruiser, I'll pull singles for group so he agreed and the rest was easy.

Body pulling is the CRITICAL method to make things a success..

Can body pulling still cause proximity/chain agro if another mob is near the mob you're pulling, or does the potential agro mob ignore the mob you pulled, as if he didn't see what happened?

If 1 mob is even 1 inch away from you than other mob then closer mob will come to you and 1 inch back mob will not even notice and stay. You just need to know your aggro distance and inch slowly to aggro closest one without aggroing other..

When I inched in little too fast and aggroed few. I said, "Oops!" then Fd and retry again fast.

I know it seems to be "bug" in aggro mechanics but they better not to "fix" it or there will be a massive "nerf" to everyone making difficult, packed dungeon runs much much much more difficult to do.. Only classes would be gladly to welcome those changes are Illusionists and coercers.

Message Edited by Nocifer Deathblade on 11-17-2006 08:19 AM
Take a predator with you, we can solo pull pretty much anything in the game without worrying about body-pulling. One of the other scout subclasses, I think, can as well now with their snare line, but not entirely certain.

EQlive mobs will not even ignore a mob 1 inch away to pull. Unless you are talking about green pet pulling method then that's true. News flash.. Green pet pulling got nerfed several months ago. The days of green pet pulling is over.. It's alot harder to single pull unless pac or FD pulling etc.. EQ2 pulling is sooooo much easier than EQlive..
I use the Surveil line to pull mobs for our tanks all the time in the EoF zones, works really well for us, tank just hits his taunt or AE taunt as I run back past him, kill rinse repeat. MUCH faster then having a tank inch up and body pull. :smileytongue:
Message Edited by Anxion on 11-17-2006 12:19 PM
