My Guild has little trouble owning Tarinax - we got him on the first pull sunday.  We all get very happy for a while after stomping his bony backside - then we head over to try cruor.  Invariably, his disease aoe kills us even with lightning fast group disease cures in every group.  So we walk out of deathtoll bummed even though we toasted Tarinax which is kind of a bummer.  Sunday he did the AOE twice in a row about 5 seconds apart - and since group cure has 20 second recast, we were toasted again.  If your guild has already killed him, please share some strategies on how to take cruor down.  It won't make you any less uber since you have already killed him before we did.  We have a good mix of classes and on a good day we can pull 19-20K DPS on a raid mob.  Thanks in advance for trying to help out.<div></div>

Theres no way he did the aoe twice in a row 5 seconds apart. What you are probably experiencing is getting hit by the stifle aoe right before/after the DoT aoe hits - a very unlucky and devastating event!Your best bet is to use aoe avoids and traumatic swipe to prevent most of the raid from ever getting hit. How is this possible? To be hit by the AOE you must be on Cruors hate list (i.e. engaged in combat). So just pop bard aoe avoid on pull in maintank group, and some group with a rogue (if not same as maintank group with swash for hatexfer). Get that traumatic swipe in before aoe goes off and you can have everyone engage and burn the mob down before the next aoe will go off, especially if your dps is as high as you claim.<div></div>

With 12k + dps, a competent brigand/swash, and a little bit of luck you won't have to cure anyone except the mt <span>:smileywink:</span><div></div>

<P>If you're short on bards or not guild level 50 another option is to use grandmaster cure potions.  They have a one second cast time which makes them easy to get off before the second tic of the DoT.  They also have an instant recast so no need to worry about it not being up if needed again.  The grandmaster noxious ward potions can also be used to help out.  They have a five minute recast but you can just pop it on as you fight down to Cruor.  That way the refresh is up by the time the Cruor fight starts and after the first ward gets eatin you can pop another one up to help mitigate the second AE if needed.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<div></div>If for whatever reason you're raid is failing to cure the aoe then simply use pots as the post above states. Hand a few out to everyone in the raid and make sure they go about curing themselfs.<div></div>

I will agree with all the points above - the dot needs to be cured before the second tick hits, else most people will die at that point. Open the fight by sending a pet in to eat the first aoe. This fight is a DPS fight so make sure everyone is doing a full burn, and make sure everyone is stood on top of the tank (tanks get rooted in the middle of the pool at the bottom).Aoe immunity abilities and tools will certainly help considerably. Make sure you get traumatic swipe on it. Make sure cures are happening before the second tick of the dot. Personally, i like to use grandmaster noxious cure potions to ease the burden on the healers, and to ensure that i don't die (not that i don't trust the healers, but with such a fast ticking dot i prefer to play it safe). These cure potions are on a 10 or 15 second recast so that is plenty of time between aoes.<div></div>
