<DIV>On my server 30-45 lvl's are very lonely and trying to get the few people in those lvl's to group is like pulling teeth. Also groups seem to last only a hour or so.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The XP changes have helped but there needs to be more tweaking, I want to lvl more toons up but not being able to find groups in this range is a drag, most in this range seem to be harvest alts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think that just for this range 30-45 yellow kills should be 1.5 % White 1% Blue .75% and Green .5% I'm sure new players are getting frustrated when they easly reach lvl 30, but hit this wall and the game drags to a boring slow grind no one likes boring, I know I don't like it with my alts. So Dev's why don't you re-tweak the xp for this range so these new folks can get to DoF and then to KoS.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It used to br crafting was the drag but they fixed that and crafting areas have a lot of people in them now. Please look into this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

As a work around or standby plan, you might want to check out the solo quests for that level range. I took my Illusionist through pretty fast and made fairly decent money to boot. AA points are pretty good, too. Here's a <a href="http://www.eq2i.com/articles/Soloing_Timeline" target=_blank>link</a> to a good site that outlines all those solo quests by Teir. It's probably not the answer you were looking for, but it might help out in the end.Good luck!<div></div>

<DIV>Eeks... my least favorite levels are the 50-60... they seem to take forever to me... but back to your least favorite levels <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Try zoning into RoV or RE and ask if anyone needs your class. Or see if anyone wants to do a Nek Castle run... lots of folks need Everling for HQ"s (Do people do those anymore?) </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As someone else mentioned, the solo quests in Zek and EL are pretty good <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Also, there are quite a few different HQ's you can pick up and start working on, asking in channels if anyone wants to start/work on. Doing quests can tend to take away the grind a little.... just the stuff I've done in the past <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#cccccc>30-45 goes pretty quicky for me. In fact, it all does except from 51-57. I level up to 51 in the old world, and 57+ I got to KoS. But T6 is a ghost town. I figure the reason for that is that it's easy to level up to say 50, so there are so many alts on the roll. But after that, only a serious alt is gonna be given real game time, so not many players in DoF. And because the master drop rates are so horrible in DoF, you dont find too many people hanging out there.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>OMG please dont make lvling any faster!</DIV>

<DIV>I did all these levels solo with my alt fury. My hunting ground of choice was Freerot. The fury had so many kills vs death ratio back then that I was topping the chart for my server. Try groups of 4-5 and drop a bomb of a nuke on them. Area around the right of the entrance after going in the cave is good. Later on the temple to the far south has the same type of mobs at a higher level.</DIV>

<div></div>I've just made it through that nasty patch...I found it fine up to about 36...then its taken me months to get to 41/42 (Partly due to lack of willingness to be bored witless grinding)...and since then I've got the next 4 lvls up to 46 in less than a week purely from solo quests in feerrott and sinking sands. I can highly reccomend this <a href="http://eq2i.com/articles/Soloing_Timeline" target="_blank">Soloing Timeling</a> for when you can't find a group. Really the game needs to take into account the fact that people coming up behind those who have already levelled have a hard time...fewer groups means more than just a solo slog...grouping gets better items and more money from heroic content...and theres less on the market. Only a high level player's alt can afford to get the best items...which means faster levelling. Out of interest...for those who say that levelling is too fast, did you twink your way up, or did you do it unaided from the isle onwards? If you don't have the money for uber gear and spells its a long way to the top <div></div><p>Message Edited by LloydPickering on <span class=date_text>10-18-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:53 PM</span>

Im in my low 50s now, and I play from when I get back into the house until I go to bed, which is roughly 3-4h per night and Im averaging 1lvl every other or 3rd night depending on how lucky I get. I will admit that i'm not trying to powerlevel, but i'm not slacking either. In another 3.2 levels I will be able to group with lvl 70s and still gain xp so I should be able to join some guild groups in lvl 70 instances...should go a bit faster then. The main problem is the lack of grouping oportunities when you aren't playing end game in a saturated MMO. theres an interesting article by Raph Koster on levels in MMOs that sort of covers this <a href="http://www.raphkoster.com/2005/12/16/do-levels-suck/" target=_blank>Do Levels Suck?.</a> I would recommend anyone interested in MMO game theory to give it a read...In particular the graph of player population is striking...I looked on eq2census (updated 29th Oct) and displayed a count of players by level and graphed it in excel. When you take into account eq2 specific events then the graph is amazingly similar. (There is a spike at level 8 (Trial of the Isle) Level 20ish (I dont know about this one, maybe a throwback to the class choices?), Level 50 (Those without DOF), Level 60 (Those without KOS).)When you see this graph, it is easy to see why it becomes difficult to get a group. As a comparison, At lvl 40 there are 434 players on my server, at lvl 70 there are 2286. Worldwide those figureas are 11178 & 50088 respectively ie 5x as many players to potentially group with.Also...don't forget that at one time getting to lvl 50 was end game. I would argue that end game is not meant to be soloed all the way.</div>

<DIV>I really liked this level range as a soloer, there are many many quests in this range, zek, el and feerott.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I wish there was more solo content in Lava and Everfrost.</DIV>

Since I'm 45 now, I'll let ya in on where I lvl'd pretty darn fast from 41-44, got NICE spell drops among other loot, and was nice and safe. In Everfrost, on the way to Permafrost, you must go through a tunnel with wooly spiders in it. Park your butt in that tunnel. 99% of the mobs there are non agro. The few spiders that are agro are easy to avoid if you are in the middle of fighting something, and not a terribly big deal if they add. All of them are 1 down mobs but the chest drop rate is phenomenal. I started killing them when they were orange to me and soloed my way to 44. The respawn very fast so there isn't alot of downtime and I never had anyone interupt my killing cycle there. Deep into Feerot is nice soloing too with the jungle leaper groups. Also, on lavastorm beach, all the lizards are non agro and give a nice xp/loot as well. 40-45 flew by for me.<div></div>

<DIV>Those have to be the <EM>easiest</EM> to level. You have long quest lines in EL, Zek, all the new loc dings to be had in both those areas then later on the huge amount of mostly solo quests in Feerrott. Theres also a stack of heritages around that level including the easiest heritage quest ever - Foomby's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hardest for me was 60-70 without dying of boredom after endless instance grinds because the more straightforward quests are hard to find and dry up quickly. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Truly 30-45 isn't too bad.. It's easier if you don't hit Zek and El till at least level 30 as you'll run out of quests. However it's definatly the case that start the quest lines in Zek and EL at 30, then hit Feroot around 38 and you'll level quite quick. At 42 yuo can head to Sinking sands where levelling is nice and quick. In fact if I get the tactics right ( basically don't hurry into a new zone but wait an extra level at least ) you won't be slow in any group of levels. If you do get sluggish you can also do some collections or exploration to boost a sluggish level.50-60 is plenty quick enough, writs, peacock line, PoF, from level 52 TT are all good XP.

<div></div>I see no problem getting a group together. Most people Sit there with their /LFG tag up or shout in the level range chat loooking for group. I found it better to Start a group and pick up the other people LFG. No problem for me. Yes sometimes it can drag on but i try to stay out of the Normal Grind areas. Not very many people in NEK castle any more so running a group through it is refreshing. The key is to become the Leader. RE and ROV are so camped and Over crowded and can become bording after the 4-5 time through them. <div></div><p>Message Edited by GuardianKing on <span class=date_text>11-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:43 AM</span>

As for 30-45, RoV and Runnyeye are just fabulous places to level quickly and efficiently.</div>

well.. lvl 1 to 50 there are plenty of quests to do.... lvl 50-70 the amount of quests is very limited.... (except claymore but well ehhh its claymore...).35-45 is easy to lvl as its easy to find groups for it.... runnyeye (uber loot and good exp up to lvl 40) and after that cazic thule (up to lvl 45 above average loot and good exp). 45-50... can easiliy be soloed in everfrost.. (lots of 45-49 solo mobs), also in ss there are plenty of solo mob sin upper half of 40's.lower 50's well.... clefts... clefts... clefts... (superb exp no loot, easy to find groups).upper 50's.... bg...bg....bg...pof....bg....bg..(very nice exp... easy to find groups).lower 60's... sos for grouping or barren for soloing (most groups will work on some stupid quests for clamyore line... dont like.. then not one single group exists...).upper 60's this is where you usually startt groupgin with all the bored 70's.... for their daily instance runs...<div></div>
