Come on it's getting urgent. It takes time to empty all those bags and bank vaults and liquidate a character's goodies. I've ear-marked perhaps my least used alt for destruction (not that I want to) and could do all this in time for EoF's release. But I'm still holding on in the hope that the cavalry might arrive and my berserker can be saved - he represents a lot of memories.

So come on SOE, put us out of our misery. Is it going to be yes or no, extra slots or not, SAY SOMETHING - PLEASE - PRETTY PLEASE.

There has been no discussion of us getting an extra slot, so I wouldn't be too hopeful about that. Besides SOE already has a way for you to get extra character slots, its called a Station Pass and it costs a little more money. Why not have them do it for free? Because SOE is a business after all...

There was in fact, a dev post buried somewhere in which they said they don't plan to add extra slots for EoF, though they might add more some time in the future.

Solution: Buy another account.. after all its business as someone said.... cmon man you telling me that you have 1 main 70/70 and 9 alts 70? or do all of them hold that much sentimental value to ya? i wouldnt plan on them giving away more slots... honestly if you fill 10 they figure you addicted enough to just buy another account .

Not to derail but I'd like more bank slots too. My mains bank is a mess and I don't know how to clean it. I have collected a horde of items that may serve no purpose but then again I don't know that for sure so I keep them. Quest items and others without description or purpose, known to me, are plentiful in the game. I guess if I haven't use them in 70 levels, I may never. I may just never know. Anyone know if I should keep Sootfoot banners that can't be placed in the house or prelimanary quest books where the reward is the actual book? That would be a good start for fall cleaning.

Sigh... I'm in this position too. 10 alts. Unfortunately I assigned tradeskilling roles to characters I liked but didn't end up adventuring with, so I have a mish mash of 60+ tradeskillers and adventurers but only one who does both out of the whole lot! Add to that the fact that my guildies are so attached to some of them that there was a general uproar when I started the process of empying and deguilding one of them. In a small guild it's tough to make a decision to delete a crafter that started life as a back up to a player who ultimately quit... but there you are, the only 60+ Alchemist, Tailor, and Woodworker in your guild. Then there's my PvP guys... It's a Gordian knot I'm not looking forward to untangling, but as they say... someone's got to make the tough decisions! If extra slots are not forthcoming, then they simply aren't. I *am* glad to know one way or the other so I can start the rerolling process early. It won't be quick or easy, but at least I know it will be necessary. I'd sure hate to go through all this only to find out I was getting an extra slot and could have kept the deleted character after all.I second the need for some kind of indicator on items that can be thrown away, or possibly they could simply disappear on their own when no longer of use like some of the other quest items do. I have quite a bit of stuff in my bank and back packs that I can't even tell which quest they belong to, so I hesitate to get rid of them. .. little notes and scraps of parchment.... that kind of thing.

I still don't see how anyone could have filled up every single slot of their station access accounts (and if you don't have access and want more slots, well there you go!) with alts they care about. Half of my alts stop at level 15, it takes like 4 hours to level that far, not a big deal to delete em.

I have to say when you look at the yearly amount, we shouldn't HAVE to buy station access (with acces to games I have NO interest whatsoEVER in playing) just to get more character slots.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Sony could SERIOUSLY learn a lesson or two from PlayNC's City of Heroes. Better customer service, better customer benefits, no-charge game expansions, and way more character appearance options. That said, I'm coming back to EQ2, from COH, because I DO really enjoy this game (I only play one at a time, because of not having enough money to pay for more than one - another reason I don't think I should have to buy station access).

Even without City of Villains, they give you TEN slots for $15.00 a month - and the only thing I've seen said that makes me think it's possible that Sony isn't just being big giant poo-heads about it, is that it's apparently a drain on the Data base - except, if I can have more by buying another account or station access, and THAT doesn't drain the DB or whatever, then I think that's a load of hooey, cuz my paying a little more a month isn't making that Data Base any more stable/bigger/etc.

It's one of the MAIN complaints I have/hear about EQ2 - not enough character slots (and I'd be THRILLED with just ten).

I'd like to see them add a payment option to just pay for additional character slots. I have no desire to play the other games that come with a Station account, so it's a significant bump up in price to get the extra slots. Would be nice to see something like a couple extra dollars a month for each additional character, perhaps up to some max.I've paid a yearly subscription and the station account looks to only be a monthly payment and, if I recall correctly, was like 10 dollars more a month. Not really worth it if all you're interested in is the EQ2 characters.- Bursck Burgundybeard70 TemplarButcherblock Server
