please for the love of GOD remove the access quest for this door. you remove all the worthwhile ones, yet this one remains.here is the issue. to speak as a dragon is required for some later t7 quests... aka you need to speak draconic. three of these runes are in the obelisk.. however two are behind this pain in the [Removed for Content] door. here is the main problem with that [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] door.FARMERS. there are, at any given time, two full groups of the plat farmer players, bots, whatever, in the zone. no guild, nonsense names, dont reply to tells... all farming the named here which have semi decent loot and a high chance at master chests. the named for the creator door access quest... ARE NEVER UP. and if they are some [Removed for Content] [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] farmer snipes it pulling the enitre room just for the slim chance that they will get the kill and chest. its [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].im having a hard time finding anyone with access to this door so i can get this damned quest done. and best part... parts of it still con at lvl 57, so even if i do get in, with help, if i die, i GET ZONED OUTSIDE TO THE CAVERN! lovely.this quest is more difficult than it needs to be.. not in terms of actual challenge, but in terms of frickin patience in trying to snipe named mobs from plat farmers JUST SO I CAN FINISH A TOTALLY UNRELATED QUEST.thank you this rant has been needed.<div></div>
There are other people on your server that I'm sure will help you.

Way to go on completely missing the point. Sony has <i>repeatedly</i> stated that they do not tolerate farmer/bot/plat seller accounts, and that they are doing their best to track and ban them, but as the OP says, Obelisk is <i>constantly</i> camped by at least 1, often 2 or 3, groups of them, completely tying up the named mobs needed for this quest. How hard can it be for a dev or guide or someone who has any kind of power to just pop into the zone and watch them sometime? It's really quite obvious, and they monopolize every named spawn in the zone. They will even (attempt to) train any real players who get lucky enough to find one that the farmers haven't gotten to first. Happened to me on many occasions... you think you're in the clear, and then BAM, hordes of mobs all over you. At best, it's just annoying and laggy, but 1 simple badly timed out-of-encounter AE and you're screwed.<div></div>

I only can tell about my experiences on the german server Innovation.I have made the access quest with my guild, most of them were twinks, we were alone in that Obelsik of lost souls and had no problems to spawn all nameds in about 3 hours. Most of them were allready up, so I don´t think it´s a huge thing to do that access quest.<div></div>

Yes, that´s true. But it was kind of funny, because we had a great time together, my main finished this access quest around level 60 and had to wait a longt time alone, that was not funny. We were lucky, that those mobs even dropped some great loot for us, but you are right, 3 hours alone (in the dark <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) are a little bit too much. <div></div>

I sent many shouts asking for someone to sneak me in but with no help. Took me 2.5 hours to finally get access as i was also competing with farmers. I am ok with farming for masters, but when someone is trying to do a quest line, that is just plain rude (I would have mentored and not rolled) as I only wanted to get in to get the runes.

<DIV>Hmm. I can understand your frustration about the farmers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, I'm again removing all the access quests in OBLS, because it's such a large part of the lore. Why on earth would they just let you waltz through until you have proven yourself? I really enjoyed doing the quests at the appropriate level. One of the names is a ROYAL pain in the butt, but such is the way named mobs go sometimes. The ones that pop all the time, are camped by the farmers. Again, I agree that makes it not quite so easy. On the other hand, people like me who have full access to most dungeons and such that require access quests, make themselves quite readily available to help people. Unfortunately you're not on my server, otherwise I'd offer to help. I have run countless people through getting runes for the Speak as a Dragon quest, including OBLS, and even running with them down to Naggy because they don't know the way. There ARE nice people out there that will help, if you ask.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Dev's have probably chosen to keep loot tables pretty nice on the AQ names because not many people do them, and it's cool to have a nice reward for it. I agree with them, unfortunately so do the farmers. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Try making a post on your server forums requesting assistance maybe? It literally takes like 5 minutes to get the runes, I'm sure someone will help.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Balance, 70 Brigand</DIV> <DIV> Liloo, 70 Warlock</DIV> <DIV> Shavaun, 70 Warden</DIV> <DIV>Crushbone</DIV>

Well, maybe we are blessed on the german servers, that we don´t have so much farmers going around and killing every named who eventually pops. Most farmers I have seen so far, were in the Runneye dungeon or in the Stormhold.I think the Runneye dungeon is ok, there are no access quest nameds, but when leveling an alt in Stormhold, it is pretty annoying with all those mentoring farmers, going around like flies who seek food <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

Clearly SOE needs to remove the loot from quest mobs. This has been a recurrent problem since launch. Remove loot = no farmers = access quest complete.

Why not make them triggered with nice loot, maybe more players would quest instead grind and camp <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

Or when you finally get access and you go down to the 3rd floor and fall through world and end back up outside; thats good times!<div></div>

I tell you guys and girls what .... slightly OT, but reading through this post again reminded me of Saturday, which was hell. Myself and a friend were camping Lord Byron for Berik's Revenge. This is a level 20 named mob, in Stormhold, for those of you who may not remember off hand the mob. At any rate. It started Friday night. We camped him for three hours. No show. Got bored and logged. We come back Saturday at noon EST. One O'clock rolls around. Lord Byron hasn't showed up. Two O'clock comes and goes, but Byron doesn't. Three, four, and FIVE O'clock drudge past, and still no Byron. Finally, at about 5:15 PM, Byron pops. Yes, folks, <i>over five hours</i> for a lvl 20 mob to spawn. And that's just one of three named mobs needed for Berik's Revenge. I dare say, this is much more frustrating in comparison to OLS.Oh, and, by the way devs, no lvl 20 mob (aside from epics) should take more than an hour or so to spawn. Five hours is beyond ridiculous.<div></div>

That´s so true, 5 hours is really ridiculous!I remember when I was "young" camping in the Ruins of Varsoon for a looooooooong time.Yeah had to kill "the creator" in the heritage quest "restoring ghoulbane", that really was redundant, this guy pops only two times per day or something. Not worth it for a heritage quest, don´t know if they changed that guy <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>
