<DIV>For the last couple months, whenever I wander around the main Freeport zones, I keep finding large groups of NPCs standing in groups, doing nothing (while I watch), saying nothing (while I'm in earshot anyhow), not responding to hails.  What are they up to?  Are we going to have a change of leadership in Freeport?</DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o172/mother9987/EQ2_000090.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes, I realize that their scripts are probably broken.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But it's so much more fun to invent a story about a plot to overthrow Lucan.  I mean seriously, these guys look like a classic sitcom group trying to hide someone behind them.  I half expected to see Antonia crouched non-chalantly around back when I passed them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Has anyone else noticed odd behavior like this?  Or have I finally lost my mind?</DIV>

Yeah. I've noticed it.  I did a /bug on it several weeks back.  I've especially noticed it in the execution plaza in West Freeport and in a couple places in South Freeport (In the area near the gate to West Freeport and in the area just east of the Big Bend gate)

<DIV>Actually a new designer drug has been introduced to the populace and we are starting to see a trend of "Sky Watchers". This new drug called "Gnome Stew" is the byproduct of a mad gnomes invention gone wrong, basically it is tainted oil. Should you encounter these druggies, move slowly past them in a non-linear motion and make no sudden moves or loud noises.</DIV>

<DIV>The odd behaviour is a new tactic in social dynamics in Freeport.  People stand in groups so that when one of them passes gas no one knows for sure who the culprit is.  If someone dares to accuse one of the people in the group it will be denied strongly and a fight will break out.  Anything for a fight in Freeport!</DIV>

One of our esteemed developers said it has to do with pathing a while back, something about interaction after the social mob update? Something to that effect. It's a side effect they're not worried too much about if I recall - and probably rightly so - but I like the sinister sleuthing about argument from an RP standpoint! <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>
