Finnally after much powerlevelling, I have a 67 fury to join my 70 monk. I was hoping to find lots of opportunites to kill nameds and run instances by myself for gear money (I dont raid) I am disappointed, however because I have only found 1 instance and 1 dungeon so far that have promise: they are:Instance: The nest of the great egg - I am actually really pleased with nest. I can kill everything except the last guy (boy is he tough) the bad thing is the lockout. not fair cause sometimes I only get wood chests and I have to wait until tomorrow =(ALL THE OTHER INSTANCES are so difficult (ex: Vaults, Den ) that they seem to require a full group. I can actually heal with my fury fast enuff to tank the bugs in den with my monk BUT THEY RESPAWN FASTER THAN I CAN RECOVER AND MOVE ON!! =(Dungeon: Sanctum of the Scaleborn. This place shows promise but it takes a while to get around, lots of adds, and lots of other players to compete with. the wost is getting trained while deep down in and having to revive up top and start over. I would really rather run an instance. Can you all please suggest some places to go with good drop rates?Keep in mind I have two toons - a 70 monk with legendary gear and a 67 fury, so I CAN take some tough stuff.. I laugh at most 65 triple ups, and have killed 68 and 69 heroics with no problem at all.. but much over that there is a problem. and some things are just unbelievabley overpowered for thier level. there is this 67 triple up lizard in the other dungeon in TT (theres also epic's in there - ouch!) that looks WAY easier than he hits!keep the suggestions coming please.. I would hate to shut off my xp on the healer so I can continue to mentor down to T6 - KoS is so much more interesting but when I come back from 5 hours of play with less than a 28 slot bag full I get soooooooo frustrated!<div></div>

Not sure what makes you think I am a plat farmer, maybe try re-reading before you spew next time. Also, I am merely pointing out that I dislike people like you and the other [Removed for Content] that can not post civilized reply's. Believe me, the person that asked the question is obviously not a professional "plat farmer" , if he were, he would have been provided with that information, right ? He is just someone that doesn't have the time or whatever to group and raid and wants to make a decent toon. So yes, punk kids, not mature adults make responses like the first one he received .... don't deny it, read the reply he received. His spelling and lack of writing a proper sentence gave him away ....... unless , well , I won't go there. Hmmm, by the way, you may want to brush up on your reading and comprehension skills because your reply really missed the mark on anything that was said. Now run along junior.

<P>And you may want to try and brush up on yours as well. I didn't accuse you as being a plat farmer. </P> <P>The OP self admittedly wanted to find zones to FARM PLAT for himself. He wanted to find zones where HE COULD FARM NAMED MOBS. That is what makes me irritated.</P> <P>You, on the other hand, called me a punk kid, where my post had nothing to do with OMGZER DUDER, etc. If you want to talk about replies that have anything to do with the OP, yours had no info either. Take your own advice, son, and find a highway to walk on.</P> <P>So run along buddy, i'm done with you and the OP.</P><p>Message Edited by Verufian on <span class=date_text>10-17-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:37 AM</span>

First of, betray your monk to bruiser because monks = FTL.Secondly, learn to feign train and you can go from named to named in 5 minutes easily in sos. I ony know this because I see the same bruiser/fury combo doing it alllllll the time.I would suggest not farming during peak hours because it will [Removed for Content] people off, especially quest mobs. Also, you dont NEED to kill monsters to make money. You can harvest collectables or rares for cash, or even raws. T6/T7 roots go for 50s each on my server and it takes maybe 15 minutes to get a full stack.<div></div>

Thanks for the actually helpful reply!! I hope that flamer idiot is truly gone.. I have people telling me the opposite - that bruisers are not as good as monks. I think it must be opinion. Feign training is an Idea will have to upgrade my group feign death I guess. Yeah I guess I definately cant do this in SOS on peak hours - thats the same thing that killed me when I got trained was people not bothering to fight thier way from named to named, just training it all thru the hall. I certainly wont be doing that to someone else if I can help it. When is dead-time hours? early in the morning on weekdays thru afternoon? That would be my guess..Anyone have any more creative ideas? Come on there has got to be some sweet spots in KoS somewhere.. right??? =/<div></div>

<div></div>If you're not bothering other groups, I don't see how duo-boxing to try and kill named group mobs AT YOUR LEVEL could hurt people. I tried to sneak down to the bottom of SoS the other day for a Claymore quest update and I can tell you it requires quite a bit of patience. FD chaining your way down there, finding the sweet spot to pull to so you don't aggro half the zone and clearing from there requires skill to try and patience to figure it out. Hats off for thinking outside the box. Again, ONLY if you're nice while doing it. If you swamp yourself, make sure you are the only one who's bothered by it.I would agree though that foraging in outdoor zones will probably net you more cash. When you get your setup straight, it will still take forever to get down to the named spawns and even longer to camp them. Killing boatloads of greenies in the same time would surely net you more cash, unless you get both the named to spawn and something nice to drop. The really nice stuff is in the higher instances like Halls of Fate and hats off to you if you can duo that <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />edit: sunday morning for quiet time <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div><p>Message Edited by Kharadrim on <span class=date_text>10-17-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:53 PM</span>

<DIV>Here's a somewhat of a farming strategy I used when I needed some quick cash. Depends on your level of course.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When I was in my 60's I'd go to Pillars of Flame and just kill greens without disturbing other groups during my off time. What that allowed me to do is get vendor trash off mobs and when my bags became full, go and sell then do it all over again. If I do that (takes lots of patience!) for say 4 hours I can easily make anywhere from 4 plat to 6 plat depending on drops. Often times I've gotten lucky and looted masters for other classes that I could sell at a decent price as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When I hit 70 I farmed the hell out of Tenebrous tangle with green mobs. Namely the Drakes in the breeding grounds. Very easy mobs with little to no HP with decent drops (mostly wooden chests) that I can sell for 3-4 gold a pop. With 4 hours spent similar to PoF I could make somewhere between 8-10 plat a day. Rarely anyone xp's in breeding grounds now a days so farming that area is extremely fruitful. Fast repops, easy mobs and decent vendor drops. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Try the above two strategies and hopefully you will have some spending cash.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Kraven Coldblade on <span class=date_text>10-17-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:55 AM</span>

<DIV>Because you were flamed by a bunch of whiners who hate farmers, I'll happily share a couple of places.<BR></DIV> <DIV>1: Hidden Cache - there is one lvl 60 named. If you mentor to 67 you can whack a lvl 57 named as well. Easy farming.<BR>2: Poet's Palace - need to do your access quest first, but there are plenty of named. Aysor/Eye on 2nd floor, scarab rings on 3rd floor, Keeper and 3 art forms on 4th floor.<BR></DIV> <DIV>If you get masters, they'll likely be in the 50's for these two places, but 57-60's are still useful, or 55's if they are ancient.</DIV>

If you are going to be running open zones(Like Sanctum of Scaleborn) feign train is the best route. Monks can solo just about everything in there if specced properly, so if you have a healer in tow it really shouldnt be an issue. You should, however, be considerate of those people who might be doing quests. I think every mob in the zone is a quest mob of some sort. Broadcast the zone, tell people you are about to kill XXX named and offer them the opportunity to group with you for the kill. Turn looting on Leader only so you don't get screwed out of the loot you are farming, all the while still being considerate to those players who arent fortunate enough to have the easy road from mob to mob via feign train.I don't know about the PvE servers, but on PvP servers there is WAY more money in harvesting rares for t5-t7 than any drops in the game. Spongy loams go for 3p or more on Vox, with most other rares sitting between 1 and 2 plat. Its not as exciting as killing named mobs hoping for metal chests, but its better cash and pisses people off alot less. Just my .02</div>

<DIV>I saw the initial post and after reading through the whole thing I really do feel for the poor guy who started the thread. I'm a soloer on a necro on my server but I'll give you my tips on getting plat:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. Farm those question marks. you never know when you will get a really rare collectible item worth much plat. I found a lost soul in the Shimmering Citadel and sold it for 20plat so there you go. Some folks will pay anything if it's something they really really want.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. Poet's Palace- as stated above yes this is a very good place to farm and it's instanced so if you are only in there with your fury you have the place to yourself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Sanctum of the Scaleborn- again stated above...use your feign death to train with and be careful of others working on quests especially the Claymore quest line as it's such a pain that most people just want to move through as quickly as possible...me being one of those who hates that zone. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>4. Use your Harvest skills- yes I know it's a real pain but...the T7 rares especially Acrylia and Spongy Loam are worth a lot of money since they are used for adept three spells</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>5. Sell the adepts to transmuters for good money since anything treasured, fabled, or legendary can be used to transmute and then make adornments.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>6. Sell ore and loam for good money to tinkerers</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>7. the Drake Isle in Tenebrous Tangle is very good area...just beware of any XP groups and people working on quests</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>8 Something that was not mentioned...in Tenebrous Tangle do the basket quests and the quests from the frogloks at the bottom of the waterfall...they reward 9 gold a pop and that 9 gold can add up over time and plus while doing the quests and killing stuff you will probably come across some good arcana treasure worth some gold. I once found one of the clock arcana item in TT worth 12gold.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>9. You can try to fight your way down to Den of the Devourers in Bonemire. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>10. There is a named spider in Bonemire in a cave near the Drednever crash site that drops a pair of cloth legendary leggings...Ashweaver Leggings that can sell well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>11. if you ever finish the named in the Nest he can drop an item used in a recipe gotten from one of four recipes found in that zone...the leggings that can be made with the items...the Hooluk imbued breaches are worth good money if you have at tailor to make them. There is also a recipe for a weapon for a bruiser or monk if you are interested.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>12. Acadechism in Greater Faydark near Crushbone dungeon is a good place to try for mid sixties with good named drops ...the last named you prolly won't be able to do but everything up to that you will be. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>13. There are named scattered around Pillars of Flames. Some are for quests and some are not. Usually empty area so if you there you might have area to yourself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>14. Same with Sinking Sands</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>15. Clefts of Rujark lots of named in here to take down that drop nice stuff and good chance at masters worth good money</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>16. Living Tombs and Silent City ...I used to clear bits and pieces of these dungeons for money when I was bored...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>17. Try Shimmering Citadel at the very end of POF. Does not require an access quest but there are quests to do in that zone that reward adept spells that can be sold for good money.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope this helps ...I usually group with friends and I am a heavy duty raider but back in my solo days this was the info I picked up. Hope it helps :smileyhappy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Wow, I am simply amazed with this Beghard character. There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone playing a couple toons that wants to farm some named. That is exactly what everyone does - if this guy wants to pay for two accounts and put the time and ability in to play them both, great! He is not hurting the economy at all, rather helping it. If he gets drops to sell that people buy he is providing them a service... and I hope he gets rich.</P> <P>I used to 2-box and farm up a storm. Now I 3-box and farm up a bigger storm. I also raid 5 days a week and also join groups. I do with my 3 toons exactly what other players do, quests, xp, and kill nameds looking for nice equipment. I don't sell plat, and the OP sure doesn't either.</P> <P>Best I can guess this imbecile Beghard is jealous or something. A couple toons running around trying to farm sure isn't going to ruin the economy or disturb other players... or is ANYONE in a group other than yours, Beghard, disturbing other players and violating the economy. What a load of garbage!</P> <P>I am all for flames and enjoy reading some, but your post wasn't a flame... it was sheer idiocy. Also the person that posted about your grammar had every right to, look at how you write.... if English isn't your second or third language I feel sorry for you. <div></div>I feel your pain. My 70 Assassin could barely solo Den of the Devourer, so I had to move to Halls of Fate where nothing respawned. Soloing HOF was very very tough, but I found that if I used my lifetap poison and lifetap weapon, I could take down everything except the guy on the table -- I had to kite him using hex dolls and my big slow (60something %). But then I hit level 69 and needed more of a challenge. HOF should be a breeze, but you're asking for good loot, so you should probably avoid going there, since it's wooden chests all the way.Now if I were you, I'd go to Nazaria and farm in there. The loot is much better than HOF and the mobs only slightly harder, but you're duoing, so you should be golden. If Nazaria doesn't drop what you're looking for, or is too easy, try Castle Mistmoore. I can solo my way down to Mayong, but I haven't found a way to beat her yet. It's a close fight but she de-levels the main tank -- in this case, me, a level 70 assassin, since I'm soloing -- down to level 65. By doing this, it makes the fight a lot fairer, since I'd probably 2-hit her otherwise. Unfortunately, I need a better strategy because I can only get her down to 18% health before she kills me. I might need a weapon upgrade, not sure.Anyway, if you need anything else, let me know.<div></div><p>Message Edited by IKilled007 on <span class=date_text>12-20-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:45 AM</span>

<DIV>I generally just farm aviak style monsters in Barren Sky when I want coin. No real named with good loot though. Just mass slaughter everything. I'm not sure if the mass killing works all that well for your classes though. At the end of my play sessions i have plenty of platinum to sell or to buy just about anything I could want other than the rare masters and t7 fabled.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good hunting.</DIV>

Yeah, the Aviaks in KoS are great, the kills are easy, good chance to pick up some Arcane Treasures, as well as, Avocek Talons, which are vender trash that sell for 19gp (can average 4/5 talons an hour) and the respawn rate is also very quick. Very nice for some easy cash.

lol whats wrong with farming? I don't get it. If you want to better your toon what do you do? You either buy the items from the broker (guess what people farmed that and are selling it..) or you go and farm things yourself.. how in the hell does it ruin the economy? and to top everything off it IRRITATES you that people farm instances? rofl...<div></div>
