Why would another farmer give up his secrets to you so you can take his loot?

Not to be mean or anything but these areas tend to be contested enough as is. It is unlikely anyone will tell you about them. You kind of have to figure them out for yourself and the figure out how to hold the spots from others looking to do the same thing.

Grimmsdahl Level 70 Templer Nek Server

well, most mobs have a placeholder, with respawns usually between 10 and 20 mins (the average in eq2). you can pretty easily figure out which mobs you can kill and which not, trial and error being the answer here. yep, some spots where named mobs pop that are known to be soloable are heavily camped. what mobs there are you can figure witht he help of the map ui and ogaming, then just go try them out till you knowhich ones youc an kill, then when you login you go check which of them isnt camped allrdy and grab it.

I'm one of those farmers and I certainly won't tell you the names, locations, or spawn times of my favorite mobs. I had to discover them on my own through a lot of hard work and time, and so should you. We farmers don't even share that information amongst ourselves, it's that top secret! What I will tell you is that it involves a lot of killing and patience. If you bore easily then farming is not for you.

If you're lucky, and happen to be passing by their spawn location, you might see one of those named mobs. Much of the time a different mob will be at that location instead, also known as the place holder. Those are more common than the named mobs.

Many players already know where the named mobs spawn. You would do well to patrol the zone and make a mental note of where people are hunting. If you happen to find a player farming, then you should observe what they are killing. You might get lucky and see the named. Then you'll know where that named mob spawns! Make a note of it and then observe someone else and repeat until bored to tears.
