<DIV>Ok, so I took a group into this zone with my Bruiser earlier today hoping to score some decent loot from the plethera of named held within. Our group was mainly 52-54 (with our MT being a 54 guard in full cobalt) with a level 62 Troub mentored down. (rest of the group was me, a 53 necro, a 52 zerker and a 53 Templar)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The zone starts out pretty straight forward with a pretty nice twist... you have to kill three patchworkmen that are level 52 ^^^ with the hp pool of an epic 2x mob. Not too hard, but it takes awhile to kill em. Most of the nameds in this zone also have similar health pools.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After that, you are allowed into the halls of the first floor where you have to clear several add-a-liscious mobs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Our first named mob was the Flaming Soul, a level 53 female fire elemental that spawns directly after you are forced to kill about 5 waves of her lesser kin. Her auto attack switches between fire and crushing that averaged about 1k per hit on me (we died the first time because of how she aggros)... we come back more prepared and take her down to find your basic metal chest with a rather lack luster ring in it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We also killed the soul sucker for a pretty crappy kite shield (level 53 rust monster with an aoe poison dot with pretty big power drain) for our troubles.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The named dude in the church was a pretty tame (we ended up having to take the whole room) and dropped nothing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There was also a named spider that had high hp and a pretty nasty poison dot... crap loot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We also killed the named jailor... crap loot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then we finally got to our first everling daughter... pretty cool scene where her guard kills her then her HUMONGOUS skelly pops with about 6 double down dolls... the sister herself had massive hp and did pretty decent damage. We were seriously expecting more than a pair of half decent boots.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I suggest that the loot in this underused zone be bumped up a bit, and that the sisters dropped their entire set (each sister has a set of loot designed for certain classes.) of loot instead of a single piece.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you have to add a timer on this zone, so be it... this is a really fun zone and really challenging if you don't go in with all the mobs being green. Think of Nek 2 as pretty much being the t6 (50-54) version of Nizara without all the crashing problems. (unless you crash in nek 1)</DIV><p>Message Edited by littleman17 on <span class=date_text>10-03-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:44 PM</span>

Nek2 was an awesome challening zone, when it came out initally - that was quite some time before DoF was even out!  We've done it back then with a group of 50 and had a blast ... it was really nice! Back then you had a random chance of differen names to pop, and each of em had a small chance of Metal ... Remeber back in the old T5 days a metal drop rates were way lower then now! Anyhow, we did the zone a few weeks back with alts (we were 4x 52, a bruiser 54 tanking and a 45 fury) ... and these it was way easier then back in the old days! Still gave nice AA - no metal either ... but it was still fun. <div></div>
