<DIV> <DIV>I've been fighting some of the solo dynamic adventure camps  - mainly the ones in Thundering Steppes - gnolls at The Mirror, sirens and fish in the water to the west.  They will spawn a second wave of solo mobs, like other DACs, but I don't seem to even get a named in a third wave.  The group DACs and some of the solo DACs in Commonlands will occasionally spawn a named.  Are there solo DACs that don't spawn a third wave, or have I just been unlucky?</DIV></DIV>

Most dynamic camps only have 2 rounds and rarely spawn named mobs on the second round. Instead you usualy get a gratified merchant or an interactable object that gives you a temporary buff. Most dynamic camps are underutilised because the loot is not worth the effort. There are some exceptions. One exception is the dynamic camp in Living Tombs. <div></div>

I think you were just unlucky. From what I have seen, the solo DACs are the same in all zones. There is always a chance of a named, but it is uncommon. Seems to be about 1/3 distressed merchant, 1/3 named encounter, 1/3 neither. And in many cases, the named encounter is heroic even though the camp was previously solo.

<DIV>OK, newb question time.  What is a Solo Dynamic Adventure camp, how do I recognize one if I see it, and how do they work?  Oh yes, is there a list of them anywhere?</DIV>

If I understand the term correctly, there's one of those in The Ruins.  You kill the first wave of Orcs in the area.  The second wave has only 2 Orcs in it but they're tougher.  Once those are killed, one of two boss Orc's spawns.  The trick is to know which Orcs to kill.  There are several that are not visible from where the boss spawns.  If you fail to kill them all, the regular Orcs will respawn and you'll need to start all over again.  The boss' loot is worth the trouble.

Dynamic Adventure Camps are easy to spot. Look for a named "point of interest" that you can target, with 4-6 static encounters surrounding it. If you kill all of the surrounding encounters before they respawn, then something special spawns at the center of the camp.Examples:In Antonica and TS -> "a gnoll tent"In Nektulos -> "a fungal bloom", "a forest flare", "a dead Thexian"In Commonlands -> "a broken siege engine", "an orc tent", "a dervish tent", "a corpse"In Feerrott -> those idols in the center of lizardmen campsIn Everfrost -> "a campfire"There are a some in DoF too.I don't recall seeing any in KoS.<p>Message Edited by Sassinak on <span class=date_text>09-21-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:45 AM</span>
