Forgive me if someone else posted this.

Anyway, a couple LU/GU's ago, they set it so people above level 60th could enter the Icy Digs to finish the quest Harness and end the Roekillik world event.

I did walk in solo once before, before GU 27 was patched in, just to look around.

Anyway, I decided I'd try it solo to see if I could actually solve it..for the record I'm a 70th paladin, just now want the quest off the books and to say I did it. Rode up to permafrost, now can't enter the zone, it's as if it doesn't exist. Yet I still have the quest Harness.

Did they move the location now? Or did the new patch again make it so people above 60th can't do the Icy Digs instance to finish the quest? I know they removed the crafting tables from Everfrost, so not sure if that accidently "reset" something.

have to have a group of no more, no less, than 6 according to a post here: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=quest&message.id=75619

I wish you could get in solo, then I would bother finishing the quests. Since no - the quests will remain unfinished for me.

Addendum to my original post:

As stated before, before GU 27 but after they allowed it to be finished by someone over 60th, I did walk in solo, just stepped in, looked around for a moment then left.

After I posted this message, I went on to a different zone, assisted some friends there. Right before I assisted my friends, I did relog. Coincedently, one of the friends I was with earlier was going to Permafrost to watch a pick up raid attept to kill Vision of Vox in Permafrost. I followed him (ungrouped), came up to the Permafrost door, and right clicked it. This time it DID give me the option to enter the Icy Digs. I did go on, soloed much of it, but despite it being gray, aggroed a 57th epic x2 encounter. I went ahead and broke encounter, then left since my rp wife/IRL friend had logged on, and she wanted to do something.

Anyway, not sure why I couldn't earlier, but as I had been able to in the past, I was able to enter it. Relogging and zoning out to somewhere else possibly fixed the problem though.

I didn't read the link the person above posted, but I have in the past, and now recently walked in solo, so have no idea what that link is based upon.

Message Edited by Arvig on 09-07-2006 05:30 AM

I've run into this problem before as well. When the option wasn't there for me, I zoned into PF, then zoned back out, and the option was there. /shrug

~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul

The zone in to Icy Digs is abit buggy. It currently will allow anywhere from 1-12 people in the zone, the zone selection seems random sometimes. I have had to zone in and out of permafrost a few times to get it when it is being stubborn on not showing.

try right clickin on door. This gives you choice to enter permafrost. Click that, and then the zone selection box should come up.

I have run into this as well. It seems kinda random.

It will be a challenge to finish harness solo. My wife (70 Warden) and I (70 Swashbuckler) tried and wiped on the last mob. He does a long term stun fairly often and even though grey can still dish out some damage. We went back with a 3rd person (70 Wizard) and had no problem. It only seems to stun one at a time and the wizzie and I traded back and forth while my wife healed. The one time she got stunned the wizzie and I just unloaded and finished it off.

Note to finish Harness EVERYBODY that you are bringing along must be on it. We tried with a full group, but only my wife, the wizard, and I were on the quest. Those who weren't on the quest were not allowed to zone in (xxxx does not meet the requirements).

Good luck to you! I was glad to finally get that one out of my quest book.

Andas (70 Swashbuckler/70 Jeweler - Permafrost)
