<DIV><SPAN class=postbody><FONT face=Verdana color=#ffffff size=3>`DTKTMT` stands for `DeathToll Kill The Main Tank`. The rules of this game are quite simple. Whenever the main tank of the raid gets charmed, you try to kill him. Whoever gets the killshot wins the jackpot. However ... There are some siderules. Violating these rules will reset the jackpot to 0.<BR><BR>- Don't kill when situation seems dangerous<BR>- Killing the MT causes a wipe is no jackpot<BR><BR>The jackpot normally starts at 1p. For each raid the MT is not killed, the jackpot is boosted up with 50g. With a maximum of 10x the original jackpot (10p in this case). When the tank gets killed in a fair way, the jackpot will reset to the original 1p. Values for the jackpot can be changed to please the person getting killed. Keep this ratio:</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=postbody><BR><FONT face=Verdana color=#ffffff size=3> - Jackpot = base<BR> - Raise per raid = base/2<BR> - Limit = base x10<BR><BR>This game is an old concept and has been around for as long as Deathtoll exists. I wish the maintanks of guilds/raids who go in there a lot of fun, and be sure to actually play this game. You will notice that people pay much more attention when fighting gazers and the DPS will allmost double when you say you are charmed!  ( I found that out the hard way when the brigand dispatched me <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

We tried that a couple of times. Never got enough participation from the guild to actually take him down, it was sad. Unfortunitly, now we have a zerker tank everything up to the Drake. Its no fun killing him <span>:smileysad:</span> <div></div>

Your guild should always be paying your raid repair bill.2. Strip macro is useless.</div>

Little repaircosts for lots of fun, it's worth it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  and you can't strip down all at once when in combat.

I LOVE the idea behind this game and I'm going to insists my guild implements it immediatly.  Its usually a race to kill the MT once he gets charmed unless of course it appears something may go astray.  I usually save my big attacks for the MT on a mez. :smileytongue: ...but don't tell him that!  This game will make killing the tank even more fun!

<P>In my guild we play this game.  Except:</P> <P>-- We don't have rewards.  We enjoy killing the MT just for the joy of it.</P> <P>-- We don't care about "dire situations".  You have to stay focused on the objective:  Killing the MT.  Considerations such as a potential or real wipe are nothing but unnecessary distractions.</P> <P>You know we are serious because on every eyeball fight the assassins and rangers fight the mob from <STRONG><EM><U>behind</U></EM></STRONG> the MT :smileyvery-happy:</P>

This is only fun if the MT has people on his side also healing and curing him. Its a battle between DPS and priests!

Can you not unequip your weapons when charmed anymore?  I haven't been in DT yet, but I got charmed on a Torrig raid ages ago and just unequiped my weapons and canceled a couple buffs until it wore off.  Wouldn't surprise me if they changed that though, and the game sounds like fun anyway. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Hah! Reminds me of Hoshkar fights in Veeshan's Peak like a million years ago! Our MT at the time was well known for his wipe-inducing trains, so it was always nice to let loose on him when the Dragon Charm kicked in!</DIV>

<P>Our new assassin positions himself behind the MT, and everyone targets the MT and auto-attacks the mob... (This increases fight lengths from somewhere around 30 seconds to 1:30) It's now turned into a game of, which tank generates more aggro with auto-attack....</P> <P> </P> <P>Although last two times through DT only had MT charmed once... SoE needs to fix this, immediatly.</P>

<div></div>I have it easy.  lol.  My mage pet habitually ae's, so when the MT starts yelling about someone is hitting him.  I can look innocent, while my pet continues to blast him to shreds.  Unfortunately we haven't killed him yet.  too bad, so sad.  lol<div></div><p>Message Edited by pebyr on <span class=date_text>09-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:13 AM</span>

Well i managed to obliterate the main tank today.  He cast sentry watch and I cast my pet heal at the same time.  He intercepted the 22k hit to my pet from the pet heal/sacrifice spell.  Needless to say, i topped the parse that fight.  lol.<div></div>

oh um sorry to spoil your fun, but a charmed player can be mezzed (maybe even recharmed) by a troub /chanter in raid. Yes sadly your main tank is only considered heroic!and yes mez has been thoroughly tested<div></div>

<DIV>The first couple of trips into deathtoll our MT never got charmed, so I was wondering [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] everyone was talking about.  Then we zoned in the other week and our MT got charmed, everyone went balls out and killed him in like 5 seconds was fun.  When we stopped doing that, because we were going after Tarinax, I noticed the sheer number of DOTS the main tank had on him, it was pretty funny, I counted int he region of 18 dots at one point.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its funny, nice twist since the eyes are so easy its not going to wipe the raid <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
