<DIV>I desided to hit up MG yesterday and kill Lavaborn. For those that dont know its a Heroic zone with 1 mob that has a very very small chance to drop anything other then wood. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It requires a short access quest, and is accessable same place as the x2&x4 epic zones.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Problem is the zone since last patch is now 5days 20hr lockout and with a 1% metal chance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Could you guys fix this, and make sure to update his loot % chance to be inline with the lockout. I mean I can go to varsoon instance get 2 metal chest one off the etherial fiend and one from varsoon thats 2 master spells and possible legendary loot and tradeskill rare every 18hrs. Lavaborn should be the same way, no?</DIV>
Yes, it's broken, nobody listed to my post right after the update that redid them came out, and thus this is what happened.

If the metal rate was set to 33% based on lockout of 18hr because it is a single group heroic zone. Then you have to put that in consideration that the zone is now 33% for 6days so take 33% / 6 changes the loot for metal to less then 1% a day.</P> <P>Now compair this zone to say... Chamber of Immortality ("heroic", level 33 - 45, 18hr lockout) 100% metal chest x2 daily.</P> <P>So now snarkteeth... remove head from sphincter then think before you type anything. </P>

I've never heard of anything so stupid. Taking your remarkably accurate and truthfully <i>assumed</i> 33% rate, the chance for metal is still 33% everytime you zone in. You say that with a 33% chance and a 6 day lockout you have a 1% chance of metal per day. Ok, so lets take 100 days in which you will have a 33% chance at a metal chest. You will be able to attempt this mob 17 times. If you get a metal 33% of the time, thats roughly 6 masters. Remind me again how 6 out of 100 is "less than 1% chance". You can go ahead and explain in simple math so the rest of us can understand, but I'm predicting you wont open your mouth again for fear of revealing your lack of the most elementary of educations. It's also worth noting that The Ruins of Varsoon and the boss instance included are blatant metal farms that defy all laws of risk/reward in this game. Its also a tier lower, which is why its irrelevant and unapplicable.Anyways, time to turtle my head back up my "sphincter" until you decide to add another mindless drop to this sea of blatant stupidity.</div><p>Message Edited by snarkteeth on <span class=date_text>09-01-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:48 PM</span>
