Yesterday I betrayed one of my toons from Qeynos to Freeport. While doing so I noticed that Qeynos guards were behaving very oddly. After getting kicked out of Qyenos I needed to build faction with freeport which I expected to be difficult due to guards running everywhere in the city. Well, I was proven wrong very soon.I went to city and noticed just as I expected that guards were now aggro. Then I invised and noticed to my great surprise that aggro mark vanished from guards. I went closer to guards and suddenly got "<add guards name here> has spotted you!" message. Guard pulled his sword and then... nothing. Guards (with exception of x4 raid level guards) cannot see me even though I always get message telling that they have spotted me. Either some dev has twisted sense of humour or something is not working properly as ALL non-grey guards tell that they have spotted me and still they do not attack me if I am invis. Also I was careless with invis and run into guard group without invis. I almost managed to escape, but got killed in place where guards normally do not go. Next day when I logged on and checked guards were still standing in the very same place were they had killed me day before.<div></div>

<DIV>Most guards (except the uber ones) don't see invis now except on players below the invis level range.  So, a level 55 guard isn't going to see you if you invis into your city as a level 52, but a level 65 guard would.  These invis rules are the same ones used for mobs.  The agro rules are now the same with guards and mobs also, the gray ones don't attack when they see you anymore.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You can check invis on guards in your city to see which do and don't see invis even before you become an exile or betray - just invis and check the con.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But when this change was made, it was never fully implemented.  All these guards, including the gray ones, used to see invis.  And when they spotted you, before they booted you to Antonica or CL, even the level 1 guards would give the "you've been spotted" message, and then say something and raise it's sword toward you.  So they still do that, they give the emote and "for the glory of Qeynos" message or whatever, even though they won't agro on you because you are invis, even if they are green or blue to you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So city guards now follow regular mob agro rules and the non-epic ones don't see invis and therefore won't agro on you, but they still "sense" you and do everything else except attack.  This does look stupid.  They probably need to finish the implementation and fix those guards, especially since many of them become "stuck" in the agro stance after just "sensing" an invis player, and then walk around like Chuck Norris until they reset.</DIV>

<DIV>I think there's an automatic script that is run whenever you get near enough to a guard from the opposing city. I betrayed my Ratonga Dirge over to Qeynos, and he's a full citizen. However, guards still draw swords, guard dogs "sense that you don't belong here" and all that junk at him all the time - and yet don't attack.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul</DIV>

Heck I even had them draw swords at my defiler that was made in Freeport and stayed there. The Freeport guards drew swords on her but did not attack luckly.
