Griffon Towers still need Quest?

From GU25  Update Notes: - After building the store of eggs needed for training the griffon tamers and griffons have moved into their towers within the Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest.I took this to mean Griffon Tamers have collected all the eggs they need and now no longer require an access quest to gather more. It seems that the Griffons in Nek Forest at least still need an access quest that requires more eggs.Did I misinterpret this or was it an entirely pointless update?<div></div>

This means they are on top of the towers now, not below waiting for more eggs.As for the quest, that I am unsure of.  My characters all of the quest done, so I cant check.<div></div>

I can tell you what I know about this.  Last week, or maybe a week before, I was in Nek and TS (on different alts).  Both places had the griffons in their towers but I couldn't use them until I brought a griffon egg.  I did the quest in TS and now have access to griffon rides.  I haven't done the quest in Nek yet, as of today.  I can't tell you if anything's changed since then.

In their excitement of being able to move up into the towers, a griffon accidentally knocked over one of the baskets of eggs. They'll probably need to replace those before removing the quest...

I was in Nek last night and quest still there.

The quest was never removed on Test. I don't believe that the intent was to remove it (yet anyways), as the test devs were looking into issues where an occasional toon wasn't being required to do the quest in order to use the towers.
