<DIV>Ok when we are fighting the uncaged alziz we cant for the life of us manage to rip the adds off the MT they just refuse to move away from him, its not like they are rooted in place they are attacking the MT and no amount of secondary tank taunts (including rescue) or burst dps can make them leave the MT alone</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>is anyone else havng this problem, because it is almost imposible to dodge the 2 AE's, fear AND kill an add within 15 sec without the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] thing moving away from the MT.</DIV>

err we did labs yesterday but I did not notice anything in particular different with the encounter. now that you mention it, we killed the adds near him. thought it was the mt bored of taunting though :pbut. the adds do not have many hps you can kill them and dodge the ae too. <div></div>

<DIV>if we had the luxury of 12k raid dps yeah it wouldnt be a problem but latly we have been lucky to get 6k, this guy was never a problem untill tose adds refused to move away from the MT.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i gues yeah they do die fast if you have the dps to torch them</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but if you dont have a LOT of ranged of dps but rather melle dps (you know the kind that is very reluctant to run into a huge ae to kill an add, yeah we like to stay out of AE's  to preserve what braincells we havnt lost due to head trauma) its a bit dificult to kill an add without it comming to us like they used to.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>since none of the guys AE's are on the same timer (BAD AE, not so bad AE, add spawn, FEAR) if you get an add then a fear, and you look at your timer and see that DEATH AE is gona hit in 5 sec, you REALY WISH the add would leave the MT alone and join the rest of teh raid where we can happily kill it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<div></div>We use a zerker MT, and it's very hard for the 2nd tank to pull the adds off him, but it shouldn't be a problem at all. If you're struggling to kill the adds in time, make sure all your dps is pointed at the adds, sounds like they're not if you can't kill them fast enough.*edit* missed your reply when writing this. The AEs on this guy are not that bad at all, really unsure what your problem is. You have druids in your dps groups for group heals? Maybe your dps needs to work on their HPs, although scouts and fighters shouldn't have a problem...<div></div><p>Message Edited by Pik'ee on <span class=date_text>08-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:54 AM</span>

<DIV>The only AoE you really need to be worried about is his approx 4k crushing one, we joust that to preserve healer power, but if we miss it its no biggy there's plenty of time to get rehealed before it comes round again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for the adds, we don't even bother trying to get them of the MT, we just burn them down where they're stood, and we don't have much ranged dps either, checking back on the last time we killed him we only managed around 6k dps too (yes we suck)</DIV>

Just have everyone targeting a MA, then have someone call out that the adds are up, the MA targets the adds, Everyone throws some extra DPS to burn em extra fast, then when they are dead the MA says they are dead and retargets the Uncaged Alzid. Rinse and repeat.

<DIV>yes i know we can sit here all day and discus how to kill the mob</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the fact remains unchanged that his adds are still bugged from what everyone has stated here</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>DEVS PLEASE FIX IT</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

But bugged or not it doesnt really effect the encounter...and besides maybe they are supposed to be on the MT?

I beleive this changed when they fixed the Uncaged Alzid belching out adds at an raid-wiping rate. I don't think it is a bug as much as it is a slight increase in the difficulty of this raid. Considering the rewards for killing it, and the fact that it's optional for proceeding down below, I don't blame them.<div></div>

<P>Dropped him Friday (UK Time) with no noticable difference at all.<BR><BR>We just get all DPS to assist the MA and he spams Tab, when an add pops he targets them, when it is only Uncaged in the room he stays on him. We don't even bother to taunt, the DPS just let rip and it's dead in 5 or 6 secs.<BR><BR>Normally we keep our Monk and the extra Fighter or 2 burning on Uncaged since they do constant DPS and don't really have the spikes to drop the adds fast so it's pointless wasting their time targetting the adds.</P> <P>If we are short a healer then we joust the AOE and as peeps have said, Shift+R and crouch for the fear.<BR><BR>Ohh and we are far From Uber so my opinion may not be worth that much, </P>

Reinforcement is a much better snap agro tool then rescue.  If you really need to seperate the adds, then using a Guard is the best option, he should have agro on anything he wants within 13 seconds.

The adds are weak sauce anyways.  You dont even need a tank on them.  They do cold dmg.  Have your raid max thier cold resists and have them just start droping fusions and [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] on them.  It will pull aggro off the tank and they die in 10 secs or less.<div></div>

<P>its very easy if u have some ranged dps, like rangers. use a tank to tank the mob. use a ma, who has to switch to the add as he pops. spam tab button, or whatever. adds must be burned down very fast every time, so feel free use nukes. all dps must be ranged. melee artists too. summoners must be use chanter pet. if anyone goes to the near of the mt, let him die, don't waste heal & time to keep him alive. people must be learn to follow raidleader's orders. focus to keep alive the tank. its a bit slow fight, but very secure. coz of fear the tank must be about a wall, and the rest of the raid too, but they have to hold the distance to avoid the aoe. dont overaggro the tank, coz wipe. mob comes to slay the uberdps, and makes an aoe => wipe. as mob is about 10%, and adds r just slayed, use the nukes and finish him. at 2% inquisitor shall use verdict. loot, enjoy. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<P>um ok, now tell us something we don't know.:smileyvery-happy:  </P> <P>I think everyone knows how to do this.  Your response is late, and not on topic.  (OP is not asking for a strat)</P> <P> </P> <P>This strat of "Ranged dps = rangers, tank should tank, MA should MA, people listen to RL, keep MT alive, don't overaggro" can be used on every encounter in the game!</P> <P> </P><p>Message Edited by FightGame on <span class=date_text>09-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:05 PM</span>
