Stormhold: Maelstorm Activation

<DIV>I remember playing on a PvE server a long time ago and the room with the maelstorm, the 2nd named sword in SH located in the chapel, was always accessible.  It also appeared that anyone could start the ring event.  However, I am now a 30 SK and the door isn't interactable, its always shut and non-right-clickable.  Does anyone know how you can get into this room and activate the ring event?  Thanks.</DIV>

is that the door next to the fallen pillar in the first room from the entrance? If so, I've only gotten in there once since release, and i dont know how i did it. The door is always locked for some reason. I zoned in on accident, I was alone, and was exploring. All of a sudden a bunch of mobs were on me and i was dead inside the room. Couldnt get abck in when i revived.

<DIV>I believe you must find a cold helm which is a quest starter drop from various monsters in SH.  I have the quest and it gives a plate helmet as a reward.  The final step is to go into the Vault of the Maelstrom.</DIV>
