Just wanted to say I have some new found respect for those hardcore raiding guilds. Been through most of Poets 2 and the Courts the last few weeks. We only had about 3 groups* and probably not the ideal raid makeup) but most were lvl 70. Was a bit humbling to think that many Raids did these back when the lvl cap was 60. So kudos to those who did!

We haven't made it through yet . But no ring at present. We got stuck on the first named on the 4th floor , Grotum the guardian (or something like that). We got close one fight but one of the main healers locked up. That initial damage was pretty amazing, I don't think many of the healers were over healing from the very begining, so perhaps when we try again we will make it through with more education and planning. The downside is with the number of trash mobs that don't seem to drop any loot and the time it takes to move throughthe zone, I'm not sure how many times we will try it (the raiding group I raid with only raids 2-3 times a week, this was the first attemp this past weekend). But regardless of ring or no ring, there are some mighty fine raiders out there . edit: Wanted to add... I am enjoying raiding, not sure I'm the raid everyday sort, but a few days a week has been quite fun. We have been doing decently on the T7 raids, working through the laboratory only a couple named that we haven't made it to I think.
I have to agree with you on this one. We tried the Mark of Awakening trial 4 on friday night for the first time and wow....we had a lot of fun...death and debt hehe. I'm not part of a raiding guild but we are trying to get more into it. The group I was with was awesome but figuring it all out is quite a process. Defeating the final warden was such a rush...until of course the final mob spanked up 4 times in a row lol. Unfortunately I had to leave after that and I'm not sure if they got him or not but I will say that his AoE hits me way to hard lol. My only issue is that now I have to go back into that stupid blasted deathly zone again lol

So yes, much respect goes out to the guilds that take on these mobs and instances for the 1st time and at the appropriate level. You make it look so easy....and that generally means theres a lot of skill involved hehe.

It's definitely a lot harder than it looks!

I actually led my first raid a couple of nights ago, and it's amazing how much strategy some of the raid mobs require to successfully defeat as opposed to most group content. (Actually, some of the group content coming in FD requires a raid-style approach to be successful, and is at least as difficult to get through as some of the easier T7 raid content)

I have a lot of respect for the guilds who successfully manage to take the hardest raid content in the game - it takes a lot of dedication to get 24 people the skills and equipment to be able to do the tough stuff, and I can only hope to be able to get there sometime soon.

It's deffinately alot harder than it looks, but once skills, gear, coordination, planning, preperation and dedication get rolling, there's little that can stop a well oiled raid machine. We have a blast doing it, even during those painfully annoying periods (/cough shared raid instance resources = uber lag, broken scripts, buggy encounters / pathing, mobs getting tweaked every other week and other random BS you come across when you're among the first guilds worldwide to enter into level appropriate raid content). Khalan said it best when he mentioned that it's through the most successful endgame guilds that problems are revealed and late fixed so that others who come later do not have to expierence the same level of frustration. Cheers, hope you guys beat those zones and have a fun time doing so! :smileyvery-happy: Descartin, 70 Templar Fortitude of Kithicor
