View Full Version : Lockout in Halls of Fate activates on killing Abomination but not Sothis?

<div></div>I ran through the Halls of Fate a few nights ago a day or so after LU21 came out.  LU21 added functionality where you get a message when activating a lockout for a zone, like stepping into an instance with one or killing a named.  When we stepped into HoF, we didn't get the message.  At that point I assumed it just didn't activate until you killed a named (or maybe just killed Sothis).  OK, we kill each named on the way, skip the abomination room and kill Sothis.  Still no lockout message.  After we leave the zone, I turn around and am able to zone back in instantly to a brand new instance.  Figuring that wasn't right, I stepped out and camped for the night. Later the next day (after the normal lockout would've expired anyway, just to be sure), we go back.  This time, we got the lockout success message when killing the named Abomination, but another guild group who was running through and skipped the abominations still didn't get the message when killing Sothis.  Is this intended?  Or is it supposed to be Doom Lord Septimus that starts the lockout, not Sothis?<div></div><p>Message Edited by stryker115 on <span class="date_text">03-27-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:07 AM</span></p>

The lockout seems to occur on the Abomination, or on the guy laying on the table you have to turn off the machine to awaken. Not sure about the very last guy either.<div></div>

I'll look into it. Sothis should start the lock-out timer.<div></div>

<div></div>Anyway you could look into why lockouts were changed from (for example) 5day 20 hour into 6 day? The addition of 4 hours pretty much adds a full day to a lockout.

<div>Any chance you can make it so the lockout doesn't reset when you kill another named.  Either or, 5d 20h or make it so that our lockout doesn't start at the end of our raid (I'm specifically referring to Lab lockout).  This way at least we could move it up to 6 days instead of 7.</div>

Im done the quest myself, but you just incurred the wrath of people that would do sothis then go back and farm for their blood of the brood updates.They would dodge the named abonimation, hoping to get the ones from pit, and the centurions. I know plenty of people that had to reset it 2-3 times to get their groups update.Not sure why this is even an issue.<div></div>
