<div></div><p>Ok I had a quick search through the forum and I couldn’t see anyone chatting about this little zone..Its off everfrost and takes 5 quests to access. We did it last night and were very unimpressed..heres a few highlights.1. We accept that some zones have to be long single tunnels with set spots for mobs to spawn *yawn*2. Ok so someone thought it would be cool to put an epic x2 mob 1/2 thru the long tunnel..very funny Soe - if its an epic zone how bout we get some warning..3. Right we regrouped after our long but doomed battle with the epic and gathered a epic whacking force. Only 8 of us but we thought that would be enough.4. Back to instance and we are told the zones for 3-6 players only../laugh ok so its got an epic in it but you cant take a raid force to kill the epic..goody5. Rearmed with a new higher lvl tank we re-enter6. the battle with the epic lasts about 5min maybe more by the end we are all near death and our clerics have been oom for the longest time (even with all the mana taps and toys we could bring.7. The epic mob dies !! - woo what does it drop ... a treasured shield and an adept 1..good to see that our efforts were not in vain.../cry8. Onwards we go and fight the last boss, which isnt epic - but its tough enough and yes! it drops - a treasured shield and an adept 1 -9. we danced for joy - 5 access quests, 1 epic, several named (one didnt drop anything) and we get 2 treasured shields, 2 adepts and about 1% xp..I dont expect dev's to come swooping down and fix everything we thought was wrong with this zone but I though I would offer some warning to those about to embark on a waste of a nights play...Happy hunting - Mylin</p><div></div>

<div></div>The sad thing is how long this zone has been borked.

<div></div><p>I used to absolutely love Icespire Summit way back when.. not been there since last summer now though.</p><p>I honestly don't see anything wrong with the zone at all, apart from perhaps the loot. The chance of getting metal chests in there has always been quite low - I don't really have a problem with that, it would be fine, if only the normal non-fabled loot wasn't so boring! A more exciting loot table is really all Icespire needs, especially these days when quite good legendary items drop all over the rest of the world, in order to "keep up" with similar zones and dungeons.</p><p>"2. Ok so someone thought it would be cool to put an epic x2 mob 1/2 thru the long tunnel..very funny Soe - if its an epic zone how bout we get some warning."</p><p>She's not a true epic though, she is just labelled as such because she's meant to be a very, very hard fight for one group (but would be a pushover for two). She is just like the gargoyle in Condemned Catacombs, the dragon on whichever boatride that is, Lord Everling.. etc. It always annoys me when people go "uhhh, epic mob in single group zone, stupid!" - it's not stupid, and I really can't believe you've not encountered it before.</p><p>Anyway, I'm sorry you had bad luck with the loot. There was times I went there and we got nothing but some useless sash - but I never really did mind that much; the challenge of the zone and my name in guild chat as we killed the epic was good enough for me. So yeah, agree - often disappointing loot. But I disagree about everything else, the zone rocks. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Oh and by the way - I used to trio the epic x2 back in the day, me, a templar and a ranger. I imagine she's probably harder since the combat revamp, but I really don't understand how a whole group can run out of power in 5 minutes. The first time we beat her it took 20 minutes (yup - eventually got down to 8 minutes with a bit of practice), and we never really had any problems with that (even with her power draining the tank - manastone and PGT takes care of that, and of course the Screaming Mace for the healers), as long as we were careful to conserve power and think about what we were doing.</p>

<div></div><span>Yes I have encountered these semi-epics before and this was the toughest one yet. And if a mob is NOT epic it should NOT have epic x beside its name..but thats another gripe.Basically a lockout zone imho mind, should have a loot table the reflects its lockout..I mean look at the instances off runnyeye or Rov, tough fights (when you first get access), ring events and reasonable loot - even if its not masters all the time the junk we got out of icespire summit was vendor trash at best. With a level 50 berserker tank and the rest of us in 45-46 level range the fight was very long, sure she didnt hit like an epic dragon but she had hit points to burn (maybe she didnt get fixed with the recent bugs /shrug)as the saying goes. 5 access quests - 2 hours,  1 "epic" fight - 10 min,  near 0 reward and 18 hour lockout.. Priceless</span><div></div>

<div></div><div>I remember back in the day... Icespire used to be the place to go, like MM</div><div>*chases some kids off the lawn*</div><div> </div><div>It is a shame it is now such a waste to do with the other newly revamped zones having much better loot.</div>
