Guards cutting off access to betray quest NPC’s

<div></div><div><p><font color="#ffffff"><font size="2">I was helping a friend with the Freeport to Qeynos betray quest last night and had some serious problems with guards. <span> </span>Ok, I can understand them being aggro to the betrayer and you can still get to the mender if you are careful but there is at least one case, and probably two where you can’t get close to the NPC you need to see without dealing with level 25 heroic guards first.<span>  </span></font></font></p><p><font color="#ffffff"><font size="2">The two guards at the entrance to the tower with the magistrate in it attacked and killed my friend as soon as we got close, and presumably the ones at the Oracle tower would have done the same had they not been killing each other when we arrived.<span>  </span></font></font></p><p><font size="2" color="#ffffff">Fortunately my friend is a Wizard and was able to use invisibility to get past them, but this isn’t going to be an option for everyone. <span> </span>Aside from the fact that this makes the quest almost impossible for some people without the aid of a higher level character it makes very little sense from a quest perspective. <span> </span>People should not have to fight and kill Qeynosian guards in order to become a citizen of Qeynos.</font></p></div>

This issue was supposed to have been fixed already - The "fix" was the reason those guards were attacking each othe BTW.  I have logged bug reports to SOE every time that I witnessed these bloodbaths as should everyone who sees it happening.Of course - we could always start a "guard fighting ring" and everyone could start placing bets on who the winner will be - That might actually get someone attention at SOE =D<div></div>

<div></div><div>I just completed the FP to Qeynos betrayal quest.</div><div> </div><div>The guards that are fighting are at the oracle tower.  I think the guards the OP's talking about are guarding the lady to have to "confess" to, who's right outside of Qeynos.</div><div> </div><div>After a couple of deaths from being hard-headed about the situation, I figured it out.  Target the magistate from a safe distance, go to the back side of the tower, and use the "h" key to hail her instead of clicking.  You'll get the quest dialog through the tower wall.</div>
