Last update changed CH to kick people out of zone on revive.I've gotta say, this change sorta mystifies me. Unless you're adding some ultra-uber fabled or something to it (and even then, Tier 4?), the zone gets used maaaybe once a month with a raid at legitimate conning levels and it's almost always pickup. I'm not really sure why the late-breaking change to make this tougher. Not that it's incredibly terrible to begin with, but still, it's probably one of the single most underutilized zones in the game.<div></div>

<div></div><div>I don't get it either. I don't see any real point in making this instance more difficult.   Can some one explain why our fearless dev's are spending there precious time making this zone harder?</div><div> </div><div>Does this instance have some new significance?</div><div> </div><div>Maybe a new loot table?</div><div> </div><div>Come on Dev's give us a hint?</div>

I think I understand why. Since they removed the access quest, any newbie can come along and click on the door to Cauldron Hollow and zone in without knowing what it is. (My twink even did this out of curiosity.)As I found out, there is an aggro heroic skeleton right inside Cauldron Hollow (behind you when you zone in) who can kill you before you even finish zoning. The lone newbie would be stuck in an endless death loop if he kept reviving inside the zone.Although I would rather that they just moved the skeleton, or offered two revive points, I understand why it had to be changed.

I actually did this zone 3 times back when it actually conned to me, getting 24 people that actually knew how to play thier character at lvl 30-40 and was willing to get debt to do this instance was the most challenging thing in the entire world, and the reward was always 3 wood boxes, thats it, no metal or rares or anything.. how could a zone suck that bad?<div></div>

I did CH two days ago with my boyfriend (made it to the last named and then our internet connection died, argh!). He had not done the access quest on that character (latest alt <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ), and could not access the zone. He was still zoned in with me, but couldn't enter on his own. So I believe that you do still need access to enter the zone.</p><p>Furthermore, there is no aggro heroic skeleton in the -raid- instance of Cauldron Hollow. You have to spawn the mobs in there yourself. There is a heroic version of Cauldron Hollow however, to which you gain access by a dropped key in Nek Forest, I think - and yeah, plenty of nasty mobs by the zone in there.</p><p>But yes.. would be nice with two revive points.. one inside zone and one outside (we could still zone back in again the first time we wiped, no lock out, but you have to do everything all over again.. reviving in zone would be convenient. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ).</p>

<div></div><p>My guess here is that some dev whitnessed some raid/group zerg Torig.  Then this dev decided this was not the way it should be.  So instead of fixing real issues, they just change this to [Removed for Content] us off even more.</p><p> </p><p>Look devs, dont change cauldron hollow (unless you are adding loot finaly).  Pay attention to the HUGE list of other stuff that needs to be addressed.  Just read the forums for an hour.</p>

We just had a group go in there last week and they needed someone that had access to get in. Did you know that there is another instance that you can access in CH that has nothing to do with Epic Torig. You get access for that, if I remember correctly by picking up a key in a chest drop on the beach of Nek.

I'm confused then, because my froglok never had either means of access (neither the Gates of Cauldron Hollow nor the key to the Witch's Cove), yet he was able to zone in, and was pounded immediately by the heroic skeleton inside. It took 3 deaths for me to succeed in clicking out, due to the respawn point being inside the door. If this can happen to any newbie, then I am glad the respawn point was changed.<p>Message Edited by Sassinak on <span class="date_text">03-23-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:34 AM</span></p>

There is no heroic skeleton inside? CH raid instance is completely and utterly empty until you touch one of the statues inside. Unless they majorly revamped it, you zoned into a different instance.<div></div>
