<div>I've been in far enough to see the epic X2 mobs.  Does it get harder deeper in and go epic X4?</div><div> </div><div>Thanks!</div>

<div></div>Yes, think of it like SC's epic part, earlier on there are more x2s, but go deeper and there are more x4s.

<div></div>Now this leads me to a question.  To hunt deeper in, you bring a raid force of four groups.  Does that mean that you get nothing from the X2 and X3 epics that you have to traverse to get deeper?  If that is true, it seems kind of odd that you have to wade through no reward mobs to get to some that will yield rewards.

<div>They don't display broken encounter signs.</div>

<div></div>Or you could just split up your raid force into 2 raids of 2 groups for the x2 encounters and make a chat channel for everyone on the raid to join.  The x3 encounters do pose more of a problem though

<div></div>The zone has special flags on the mobs so that you can hunt any mob in the zone with any size group, and still get loot.  (i.e. You still get loot and AA xp from a Heroic named with 4 groups)   There is no need to downsize or increase your raid size depending on encounter size, you will get loot no matter what.

This is all due to the new con changes.Cons before would look at the total encounter. Now they only look at the toughest type of mob in the encounter. You could have 30 ^^^ mobs in a linked encounter, and it would now read "Heroic", but not display the broken symbol for a x4 raid.  Or you could have 30 Epicx2's in a single encounter and it would read "epicx2"The old method would look at 30 ^^^ and read Epicx4 probably, due to the total size of the encounter. It did read 2-3^^^ heroics as epicx2. Just think of the orcs in clefts prior to the con change. The new system is a bit more confusing.  Epicx2 encounters can be intended for x4 raids.  It just means that there's going to be several epicx2 mobs.Bottom line: New con system only looks at the strongest mob in the encounter and will describe the entire encounter based off that.  Just because it says its an epicx2 encounter in an epicx4 area, doesn't mean your suppose to use two groups to kill that encounter.Hope some of that sense.<div></div>

<div></div>Some of the mobs in AoA are group x2, some of em are x3 and x4.  Regardless of their tags, you can zone in a certain number of people and check for the encounter broken symbol.  Most of the ones on the first couple floors are x2.. and we've cleared all the way to both the fire and ice dragon spawn points with only 2 groups, so it's definately doable.  Gear + raiding exp probably plays a big role in this zone :smileyhappy:
