The mobs here have way too many HPs in lieu of PP:R.IN a typical combat with a group of 2 mobs, 1 mob has approximately 100k hps, and the other has something to the effect of 450k - 500k hps.Suffice it to say, for a *2 raid group, it only takes (with something like 8 dps classes), approximately 5 minutes per encounter.Making a mob have more HP hardly makes the encounter more difficult, but instead just makes it more boring.<p>Message Edited by Koltur on <span class="date_text">03-07-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:33 PM</span></p>

<div></div>Hrm, zilten realized this while testing, he even said too many HPs, check, and was going to lower them. Either he lowered them in some test release that never got pushd out, or, well he forgot. My bets on the first option.

Or, they simply had more hp before and he reduced them. Or there is a lot of double speak going on.<div></div>

<div></div><div>LOL </div><div> </div><div>I was in a beta group raid here...Ziten was in the raid too, average mob 4 minutes of DPSing and it got to the point he was death-touching mobs cause he got bored watching us try to kill stuff. This was in a raid with 4 scouts and 3 mages too so dps wasnt an issue.</div><div> </div><div>The funny thing was the named encounter died twice as fast as the trash did....he needs to seriuosly swap the HP around...I guess he got to busy to fix this...for now just bring 3 healers 1 tank and 4 Rangers and 4 Wizzys and it should be a little faster :p</div><div> </div><div>Slixia</div>

You're complaining about going through a zone that isn't even setup to be a complete x4 raid zone. Try fighting throught the trash with x2 raid forces, and see what drops that you didn't notice before, and then hit the top floor, and you will see something interesting about it.

<div></div><p>Sorry there is nothing interesting about fighting the same trash mob for 5 minutes straight. Its not challenging, its not fun. Just too many HP on those mobs, it needs to be halved. </p><p>We also did split the raid force in 2 and kill some of the 2x's. Nothing dropped, and with 2 groups killing the 1 zillion HP mobs takes even longer.</p><p>Needs some tweaking. </p>
Lexxer, you seem to be doing the zone wrong. You're supposed to get a drop in each x2 area that will let you spawn and kill a named that drops another item (5 in all i think). You then go up to the x4 area and spawn a x4 dragon with the items you got from the x2 area. And then after you kill him (i'm not sure exactly how - Zliten just spawned him in beta) another x4 dragon is ready for killing.<div></div>

<div>No we were not doing the wrong zone.</div><div> </div><div>No we did not get any "drops" from the 2x mobs.</div><div> </div><div>Yes the mobs have WAY too many hitpoints.</div>
I never said the wrong zone, I said you were doing the zone wrong. You're supposed to get drops form the x2 areas to be able to progress. Farming might be needed.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Sorry misread that. I agree, it seems farming is neccessary.</p><p>Again, zone might be fun if not for the insane hitpoints on the trash mobs. As it is now, its a snoozefest.</p>

Another problem to the list - the mobs in beta respawned fairly quickly, but don't here. In beta it ran something like this: Reach floor 1; kill the x2's with a x2 raid force; IF no eye drops, wait for respawns (approx 5 minutes); move to second floor if you don't want to wait, and start clearing that; IF eye drops, spawn named, kill it for cool loot. Move to second floor and repeat.Currently the x2 mobs are parsing at 100k hp for the little guys and 600k hp for the big one. That's a lot of hp for 3 trash mobs! Now, we were light on dps classes and didn't have our full usual MT setup, so probably took too many healers (we had 4), so to clear floor 1, 2 and parts of 3 it took 1hr35min. We returned to the 1st floor to start over and not a single mob had respawned.Problems:<ul><li>Low rates of trash loot/treasured/spells</li><li>No masters, legendary or fabled</li><li>5 minute long battles that involved no skill - we basically just burned through power then autoattacked it to death</li><li>No eye drop (and nobody seems be getting them?)</li><li>No or at least very very very slow respawns</li></ul>Bring back Silent City eye farming!<div></div>
