<div></div>Why are Coercers at the bottom ? I can't think of a single reason.................<span></span><div></div>

<div></div>Coercers are slowly usurping our position as the lowliest class <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I liked being the class 24th on every most played list but now it seems to be about half and half coercer/brigand (although it was always pretty close cause coercers always sucked and brigands were always ignored)

<div></div>They are the least popular class, therefore fewer people will level with them.On a side note, it would be interesting to factor out the effects of popularity and measure what proportion of each class levelled, and how much. This would give a more accurate measure of how easy to level each class is.The best way to do this would be to.. hmm.[ (sum of all characters' level, end) - (sum of all characters' level, beginning) ] / (number of characters of that class)This would work assuming all classes have an equal level distribution (which is probably not true, but would probably be an interestig thing to look at in itself.)One would have to factor out new characters, which would skew towards measuring popularity, and also factor out abandoned characters, while still measuring players that played but did not level... interesting challenge.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Hirebrand on <span class="date_text">02-01-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:20 PM</span></p>

i just recently started lvling up a coercer and man is it hard, it aint easy thats why there are few i'm guessing.. all the other casters soloing capabilities are slightly better in my opinion, still a fun class to play though, i love my coercer<div></div>

I know this data isn't really accurate, but its interesting. Wish it included sub-20 toons also. When I played in that tier during that same timeframe, I saw practically all Predators and Summoners being made, suggesting that the Flavor of the Months are Rangers and Conjurers. I think we all already knew this though.

<div></div>firetoad:I don't include the under <20 data because, in my opinion, it only serves to skew the data.  Pretty much everyone has alts, and gaining levels on an alt is very easy and quick, so that would require them as "active" even though they might get burnt out by level 10 and never play againHirebrand:The comment about looking at a total number of characters versus how many are being actively played is a very good idea, and I'll look at tabulating something like that in a chart for you all<div></div><p>Message Edited by Demitri on <span class="date_text">02-01-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:13 PM</span></p>

<div></div>Thanks for sharing this with us Demitri.  Think you could do a little number crunching and give us a total count?  I find it interesting that Wizards have the number two spot.  As much moaning as there is on the message boards from Wizards you would think that they wouldn't be that popular.  Kinda Surprised Paladins have the number 4 spot as well.  Interesting stuff...

<div></div><div></div>Very interesting. Brigands 2nd lowest in total numbers but 3rd highest percentage of activity. Means not many people know how fun brigands are to play (imho the most fun class), but those that do are really enjoying them. But rogues are generally lesser played anyways, as evidenced by the relative lack of Swashbucklers also compared to all other Qeynos classes other than Illusionist.Really telling that the only class to move more than 1 spot on your original chart is Guardian, which dropped 2 spaces on the overall list. They are also 2nd least percentage played, indicating problems with the class, whether it be from them being underpowered or being no fun to play. I'm actually surprised that Inquisitor is lower on the activity scale. Also, from the original chart, out of the top 10, 5 are in Qeynos, 1 is Freeport. That gives you an indication of how the Qeynos population outnumbers the Freeport population, assumedly on every server. Hmm, there an easy way for you to check that? What percentage of players are based in Freeport v. Qeynos?     <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Enchanters are the least played class because they are the hardest to play. That doesn't mean that does who play them don't enjoy them, as their relatively higher position on the activity chart indicates. And obviously there are less coercers than illusionists since there are less Freeport players than Qeynos players. But it is a fact that in every single instance where the classes are restricted by city, the Qeynos class always has more players than it's counterpart Freeport class.Edited to add: Also note that Bruisers have the least overall numbers of all fighter classes, but are the most active of any of them. Probably also an indication of how fun they are to play, much like Brigands.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div><p>Message Edited by Gharik on <span class="date_text">02-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:30 PM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Gharik on <span class="date_text">02-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:33 PM</span></p>

I think the thing with enchanters might honestly be the trip to level 20. In the old system it took a zomglong time before you got anything besides some weak attacks, the mezzes and such start trickling in during the mid-teens.In the new system by level 2 you have a mezz, charm, DD, and power drain/stun. And maybe a DoT, though that might come at level 3. Anyway, I'm interested to see if it changes with the new 20 and below system.<div></div>

Very interesting graph. It makes me glad of my choice for toons to play, although the Brigand bandwagon is getting a little big hehe. What alt? Who me?<div></div>

There is always a % of people who play the good classess who are overpowered, and leave the bad underpowered classes. There is always a % of people who play class X reguardless.Right now... the "overpowered" classess to play are like... ranger, conj, necro, brig, fury... the "uncool" classes to play are like pally, guardian, coercer, illus...Those are from my views, and seem to go along pretty well with what the graphs say.<div></div>

<div>Yah,m our brig who does like 900 dps every fight, and raises total raid dps by 1500 is horrible. God I wish he would delete.</div>

They're supposed to make the raid dps go up like you said, but ours does do some insane damage in the process as well.
