<div>I am looking for ideas for fun things to spend one evening of gaming on for a group 8 - 9 people in the low-30 level range.  We have already done the 'Journey is Half the Fun' quest and I am not seeing a lot of other quests that a (small) raid group can do and get quest credit for.  Any ideas?</div>

<div>There is a series of quests in Antonica that end with a level 28 epic x 2 encounter that is probably doable by your group and has a pretty cool storyline.  If I remember right, the quest starts in the Windstalker village by the drunk Professor in the bar. </div><div> </div><div>Information on the whole series is available on eq2.ogaming.com.  Search for 'McQuibble' and you can find one of the quests.</div><div> </div><div>There is also the Windstalker Rumber quest in Antonica but its a "contested" spawn and I don't remember how many groups it is listed as.</div><div> </div><div>As for single group stuff around that level:</div><div>Nek Castle would be alot of fun at that level and has numerious heritage quests involved - Ghoulbane, Fishbone Earring, and Mask.</div><div>Cove of Decay can probably be done and is part of the PGT and Manastone heritages.</div><div>Chamber of Immortality can also be done and is part of the Manastone and GBS heritages.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>

If you are all in the same guild, then you could try the various guild raids that you get at guild level 5, 10, 15, etc.  I believe they scale to your level now.  Last I checked, they required at least 6 people and not more than 12 to enter.<div></div>

<div>We are the guild!  :smileyvery-happy:</div><div> </div><div>We have done the guild raid for guild level 5 and 10 and just got to GL 15 last night.  Definately will be doing that one.  The punkin quest I had not thought of... great idea! </div><div> </div><div>Thanks!</div>

<div></div>There are group events things you can do in the city arenas that don't involve duelling.  I'm not sure of the limit to number of participants if there is one, but if there is there is seating for bystanders to watch so you could all participate even if as cheerleaders and hecklers.

<div></div>City arenas?  How have I missed their very existance?  Are they DoF add-ons or open to everyone?

Sem

<div></div>They opened them at the same time as DoF.  It might need DoF to use, I'm not sure about that though.

<div></div>Think they opened in one of the later live-updates.  I went to check out the one in WFP tonight, and there's no champion vendor outside.  This might mean that you have to have DoF to go in - could be way off there tho!

You can't break into two groups for some reason?<div></div>

Ari
01-14-2006, 01:40 AM
<div>We can break into 2 partial groups, but for one evening a week we try to find activities that we all can partake in together rather than splitting up into multiple groups (which is basically what we do the rest of the week).</div>

Unfortunately what you're asking for is a little tough to fulfill. You are basically a raid x1.5 group. Anything solo or for a normal group will not give you credit. The smallest raids are designed for 12 players (the epic x2.)The raids that I can think of that you might be able to tackle are:Bloodskull Valley - part of the Lightstone heritage quest, General Drull is a low 20s MOB but requires a raid of high 20s or low 30s.The Windstalker Rumbler - there are two quests that involve him. One starts from a bookcase in Windstalker Village and one you can get after the fact from Sayer's farm. The Scarecrow King - Starts from the halfling moaning about pumpkin pie in the Windstalker Village.Ladon or Anguis - Drakota found in the Commonlands or Antonica, respectively. These are very rare contested epic x2 rated in the low 20s but take very good 20s or low 30s raid to beat. The Gobbler - in Gobblerock's Hideout. I haven't tried him but I've read he's a low 30s epic x2.

You could try finding more people doing clearing out Cauldron Hollow (though I doubt anyone would do that if they don't need Torig for Ghoulbane, not much incentive <span>:smileyindifferent:</span>) There's also a few high-t4/low t-5 epics but you're a tad low for 'em I'm guessing =)<div></div>

<div></div>Ahh.  Yes, now that you mention it we did have 3 runs through to get all the drained goblins in the blood collection quest.   We must have been lucky on the spawn-the-vamp part as it was all grey to us by then and popped OK.     The INT stuff off the Crypt of Tha'en stuff though...   hope your Necro got some of that while the right level, it was good find.

Many x2 mobs are very doable by 1 - 1 1/2 groups if the groups are used to working together and not too many shortcomings within the group. (many personal groups will have a player or two that arent very good at their class, but are such fantastic people that it's all that really matters, however for them to take on the x2 group they would really need to be ON THE BALL on all fronts. )Could anyone name any lvl 30'ish x2 mobs this group of friends may wish to try to take? Perhaps even 'training' to get to the point where they can take them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I'm not really good at names of mobs.In the 30's many HQ's start opening up, do a search on ogaming and they're listed by the level, you can plan events around those. (click show heritages and leave rest of search form blank) Greenhoods is one that comes to mind, maybe not all in one setting but if you progress the entire group at about the same pace then soon you'll be ready to take your group into DFC and finish <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> (there's 2 DFC finished HQ's, so read through them...one is something about greenhoods, the other is Training is a Shield)  These are great if your group of friends is a guild, for advancing your guild -- which also will give you a sense of accomplishment. (if you're not a guild, you may wish to consider making yourselves one) The EE bag in EL is good, if you have good dps (tried this one without alot of dps once, we whittled and whittled at the end mob until he finally depopped...lol) I believe that can be done in a raid setting but not entirely positive. That one can be done in one evening.  If it CANT be done in raidform, and you can split the group up fairly evenly, (equal healing, tanking, dps per small group) perhaps working together, in two groups and starting a chat channel to share, would give the sense of camaraderie you all wish for.I like personal groups, I think they're the best part of the game and should be encouraged <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Let's find a way to encourage these guys <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />~Yira<div></div>
