View Full Version : Court Instance lock out ... any chance to cut it to 18h instead of 72h

Are there any special reasons why the Court instances lockout on success were set to 72h ??? Yes these zones are "fairly easy" but so is tablet (8h lockout), Roost and Poets (18h) ... The metal drop rate is so low in the courts that it wouldn't harm lightening the lockout up for the remaining 6 weeks till KoS (I, like almost any other SK/Pallie would love to still get my hands on the Aegis of Altairenanhk <span>:smileywink:</span>) And while at it, could you possible have a look into the Altairenanhk script ... 8 out of 10 times when I bring people into the zone, they have real problems seeing the chat bubble, and by the time they finally see it, the timer expiers and it is a "fail" to answer the question.I think it could be easy to include a "Are you ready for my riddle" - "yes/no" chat bubble before the timer starts you get for the riddle ...<div></div>

<div></div><p>This zone was 18 hour 100% metal for like 2 weeks of DoF but they changed it and added the ring of fate quest. I dont think its meant to be a farmable zone but just part of the ring of fate series. Do all these instances till you get all 3 medallions then just never return. Get your fabled ring which is probably the best ring in the game for most people because the only ones better are super rare and drop off some of the hardest mobs.</p><p>Personally I would love to see 1 group instances drop only Legendary loot that is slightly better than crafted legendary with raid mobs dropping fabled. I would even go as far as master spells only dropping from raid mobs but if that was the case to many people would yell and scream cause its not fair they are casual players and cant get the best stuff in the game.</p>

The difference is, the other ones put me to sleep, whereas the court instances are entertaining.</div>
<div></div><p>/agreed</p><p>3 days is insane, especially since metal rates are down to 0° Kelvin theres no reason, especially compared to other instance lockout times. How are u supposed to get the 3 medaillions for a decent number of peps?´</p><p>Greetz And.</p><p>PS: The Sphinx Shield would be cool but i think chances are "as good as non existant".</p>

<div>The other night when I did these instances I noticed that the timer had changed. It was 1 a hour lock out if no metal dropped, and 3 days if it did. I don't recall seeing any timer changes in the update notes anywhere, can anyone tell me if this is how these zones are now supposed to be working. Prior to this week the instance zones where locking out for 3 days regardless of what dropped.</div>

<div></div>I think the 1 hour lockout is there if you do not complete the event.

<div>Totally agree, effort reward timer are totally out of sink with the rest of the instancing principles.</div><div> </div><div>18hour low metal chance</div><div>6day Gtee metal</div><div>3day tiny metal chance, wood mostly</div><div> </div><div>Have to admit the reward for getting all you truth answers right, is bugger all, got metal twice getting everything wrong.. where is the logic in that...</div><div>Been doing this event religeously for 3months now, evrey 3 days... average i guess 90days, 30attempts 2metal leather and plate legs, no shield...</div><div>Taken those stats..</div><div>2% chance to see the Aegis! I think this is optimistic</div><div> </div><div>Guild has seen the leather twice, plate once</div><div>so we can weight our total 6% chance of metal too</div><div>3% leather 2% plate 1% Shield</div><div>Some get masters so i guess never having seen one</div><div><div>3% leather 2% plate 0.5% Shield 0.5%mastery</div></div><div>I can deal with 1% chance, if I get a daily 1% chance.</div><div> </div><div>I guess i have 70 more attempts to go... to be statically perfect</div><div> </div><div>everyone loves these instances alot more than the hideout, table or cazels... all 18hour</div><div><div>Have seen one person on SP with the Aegis... in a world where crusader shield designs are boring...</div><div>To boot everyone uses kite shield design... even warrior types... more creativity in shield design!!</div><div> </div><div>Up the drop rate, or lower the timer, consistency ftw!</div></div><div>Remember 99% of all stats are made up on the spot!</div><div> </div><div> </div>

The first and only time I tried Riddle of the Sphinx, when the first time he spawned as an NPC, I walked up to him and hailed him.I saw no text to click or any chat text in my chat box.He spawned kos and immediately the swarm of scorpions and himself attacked the mystic killing him and so wiping all of us.Good to hear this 3 day lockout will be cut down.

There is no question that this change was needed. It's just that the majority of people are moving on to KoS in 1 week therefore they kind of missed the boat on this change. This should have been done months ago.

If it takes new players as long to advance to a certain point as it did for the trailblazers then you make the game inaccessible to new players. Imagine what it will be like for a newbie joining the game when the cap is 100. Since the playerbase is largely conentrated in the upper tiers expecting a newbie to spend as many months grinding as people before him did is just not reasonable. I'm perfectly comfortable with making stuff easier as the game progresses. After all, you and I will be in T7 and facing those challenges so t6 needn't be an issue. Plus we have the added benefit of being able to tell these lousy kids how good they have it, since we had to farm fableds in the snow, and it was uphill both ways. Lousy kids!</span></div>

You got your challenge and fun out of it so whats the big deal? I know I used to feel that it cheapend some achievements but now I just dont care. Its on to something bigger and better and good luck to those working on such things now. </div>
