I am very happy to see the increase in mobcount for writs, and T6 writs are actually fun to do now.

Problem is that farmers are ruining it for many of us, hunting named in northern eye of anuk, killing placeholders (Writ mobs) for Scribe Shivik (the other one in the upper tent i can't remember name of) and Sawgrin in goblin area.

I know that the loot table has been nerfed for these mobs, but somehow farmers don't understand that, and keep coming and disrupting the writting process. ALL farmers i ask to at least group with for the writ mobs, refuse to either answer or reply with a blunt NO!

Other writters don't mind grouping for updates!

PLEASE remove these nameds from these areas or relocate them to some other place... this is really making me angry and frustrated.

I'm sure other non-farmers/writters agree with me!

The T5 writs where so nice, the mobs there where no PH's for any named creature.

Let us writ in peace!!! I beg You!

Message Edited by Cremaster1978 on 12-27-2005 09:10 PM

How about this. Keep your writ mobs out of my named areas. Have you done any of the collect/destroy writs? Don't have to worry about farmers there, just other writ-ers. And you can always still do the T5 writs.

Why should we have to go do T5 writs because of farmers?

My suggestion is take a lvl 60 with you and pull all the mobs and lock the encounter. Also, have one person stand on the spawn site so that when they pop they get aggro first. that way the farmers don't get the named either.

I'm dissapointed at you Hankthedwarf... almost all previous posts i've seen from you have been very mature and constructive.... but this reply was well... not like you... pls show us your old spirit

And to reply to kiked: i always go writting alone... i don't have one person standing there, one at an other place...

My point is writting shouldn't be something you shun from because of anyone or anything... it is already a tedious ones...

And NO i'm not doing T5 again... period....

Remove/relocate the nameds...i really don't see their purpose there at all.

Have you tried offering to simply clear the spawn for them? Tell them you have zero interest in the named, and make their day easier.

I only kill Sawgrin cause his buddies are for writs the crappy gloves usually rot most of the time even if i tell the zone it's rotting.

I tried the other type of writs then deleted em soon afterwards they suck.

Sorry if I came off a bit harsh. Just playing devil's advocate, really. And simply offering up alternatives is all.

So there is some competition? If there is a farmer trying to camp Sawgrin, I will pull as many goblins as I can handle and take them down with a few high hitting attacks. I haven't noticed any farmers lately camping Sawgrin, but when there is, your going to have to share the space. Can you name another place in Sinking Sands to place Sawgrin that makes sense?

First of all i really don't see any point of having him there at all, give his loot table to some other mob.. or relocate him to his friends in PoF, surely he misses his brother over there . Other alternative is to have set location for him to spawn (right next to Meathooks perhaps?)

now he spawns up 3 times at once... making it a feast for farmers.. (at least they hope so)..

As for the named gnolls... well they DO have set spawn locations... but make them heroic instead and move them to the eastern side of the tears, where the other heroics hang out, and whoo are not writ mobs.. (but i am not sure since i don't do group writs, could be.. which poses another prblem).

but as it looks now with the total nerf in all DOF drops farming will return to harvesting rares... maybe they will leave my gobbos alone

This is the type of camps we get when they reduced DoF down to 2 overland zones instead of the 4 we were suppose to get. :smileyindifferent:

I'm very happy that there are named mobs in the same area. It makes writs more interesting and adds some cash. I'd get bored to death if I just ran around clickin thingies and killing green con mobs. The slight chance to spawn a named keeps me interested in writs. Maybe you should choose other writs if the ones you do are disrupted by people who don't do writs. Finnster
