<DIV>I dont know about the rest of you but i love these zones, there brillant zones. There big like all dungeons should be and the imagination that has gone into them plus the layout of the zones themselves are great, i simply love these zones, but.....( there is always a but ).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With all the revamps lately to zones like Fallen gate, Ruins of Varsoons, Cazic Thule etc etc, i think it would be a great idea if you revamped Solesk Eye / Permafrost next because lets be honest here, for the amount of effort and time it takes you to get deep inside these two zones, the loot tables are very plain and poor and some named mobs takes days to spawn if your getting a bad run of luck, take The Castigator for example which he is used for Baston of Flames access which then that access is required for Golden Efreeti Boots, just fighting your way down to The Castigators room is good amount of time required then you have to also camp him. The Golden Efreeti Boots is a big quest to begin with.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There isnt really alot of places that you see 49 - 50 master I's drop and i think seeing as the deeper you go in Solesk Eye the more it becomes a lvl 50+ zone that this would make a nice spot to do what you guys / gals at SoE did with Cazic Thule for example. Visually thse zones are great, but loot wise there very poor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Permafrost, if i had to be honest i would love to see Permafrost and Solesk Eye get a revamped next to pull them into line with Cazic Thule. You guys / gals at SoE done a great job with Cazic Thule, it really made a good reason to go there for some new and improved loot and a chance at some master chests, hope you can do the same with these tow great and wonderful zones and breath some life back into them. Solesk Eye and Permafrost both share the same problem as Cazic Thule used too, the mobs in the zones especially named mobs ethier are extremelly rare pops and then ontop of that they all share the same loot tables, some are a very long way and deep inside the zone and getting there is a quest itself and rarely drop master I's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its a real pity to see these zones with 0 people in them when i go there, i find these Dungeon zones refreshing and very nice to explore, but the risk you take to explore them just isnt rewarded, it is visually and you can see that the minds at SoE have quite a good amount of imagination behind them, im just wondering what has happened since these zones, where has the imgination gone? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please consider this SoE, would love to see these zones get revamped loot tables and some extra chances at some master I's deeper down in Solesk Eye, would really make it a cool zone for people to level in and do the quests that are involved inside the zones themselves instead of just going there because they have to for their Prismatics.</DIV>
solesk is bugged imo my guildmates keep going linkdead there and crashing same as me, I quested in Perma and get groups there now DOF calls the ppl 45-60 so u will see lees ppl in EF ,pf ,lava or sol, 0 interest in going there , to crash or to die.

<div></div>I am shocked at how many players I meet level 45+ don't know ABOUT these dungeons or HOW to get to them. I think the answer is to put more direction into the game somehow ... either literally - by virtual signage or some other form of "advertisement" that blatantly catches the players interest and directs him ... or via more accessible NPC / quest options. I hoenstly did not know how to get to Sol Eye for a good long while until I was nearly level 50. And then I had to have someone port me there first. Same with PF ... I think a lot of players just don't KNOW that's these dungeons are there. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Vicontessa on <span class=date_text>12-27-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:01 PM</span>

<P>i don't know does anyone has this problem with soleye, but i'm getting bad lags in there when i get myself the lower levels ,and starts get alot worst when i'm at the buttom</P> <P>i've tried to turn it down to extreme preformance but still lagging worst than in DFC</P> <P>mabye the devs should take a look inside before trying to revamp it ? or is it my pc just too crappy for it ?</P> <p>Message Edited by Timesquare on <span class=date_text>12-28-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:24 AM</span>

<DIV>LOL, aye</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm sometimes SHOCKED to see peeps at level 50 or over, oh this is the first time I've been in Solusek Eye. It's BIG ( and then they are only halfway to the elevaor on the first floor :smileyhappy<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One thing to suggest is indeed a REVAMP. Some new quests in there </DIV> <DIV>and also like the SOE information about fabled raid creatures, some promo on EQ2players.com about zones, with some cool pics and info...</DIV>

i would support such changes.Permafrost has one of the best ambiance music in the game IMO i m still very attached to that zone even at lvl 60 i still keep coming there just for the design.Solusek eye is by far the BEST dunjeon i have seen. but the only time i see people going there is when you read: random conjuror tells quest (1) CoHing people to talk to naggy. it s really lame imo. The glass bridge area is awsome the zone is so huge and so many different mob type to fight there. it s a shame such a well design and graphic appealing zone is always empty.Beside those zone are dangerous compared to cazik thule where you can walk all around even without invisibilty (except for the tunnel part but) so Permafrost and Solusek Eye should be rewarding too.

<span><blockquote><hr>Feydakeen wrote: <div>and also like the SOE information about fabled raid creatures, some promo on EQ2players.com about zones, with some cool pics and info...</div><hr></blockquote>There are 2 raid-able Epics in Soluseks Eye ( 4 total Epics, but Lord Nagafen is 100x4 but is needed for the Prismatic quest and the other x3 Epic doesn't drop any loot) which are Hand of the Caldera x2 (In the first Golem area) and Lord Nagalik x4 (at the bottom of the dungeon with the glass bridges, he's in the room just before you get to the Forge of the Ages where you can make Wyrmsteel. Both of those Epics are contested and on a weekly respawn timer. Hand of the Caldera is likely getting farmed by raid guilds that can't cut it with real T6 epics 65+ but Lord Nagalik is usually up because he is soo deep in the zone. The frequent lag or crashes result mostly from people playing under spec systems. Solusek uses a TON of memory for Textures and other graphics because the zone is huge. Either lack of RAM or GPU memory can be the cause. I don't care what Sony puts on their boxes about minimum spec, you need 1-2GB of Ram, AMD64 or Pentium4 Processors (which are designed for intensive apps and games etc, not like Celerons, Druons, Semprons etc) and the Geforce 6600-6800 / Radeon xSeries minimum to really get that zone running well. I never have problems with Solusek, but I see people all the time going LD all the time there. The minimum specs are enough to get the game running, but Sony didn't say how well <span>:smileymad:</span> </span><div></div>

I think everyone should explore the zone -- not to raid necessarily and not just to do Prismatics / Speak as a Dragon etc. but just becuase it is SUCH a cool freaking zone. It's one of the best zones in the game along with Permafrost and the Drafling Tower - and yet No One goes there just to group and explore and fight for fun. I think it's really sad. On the downside -- Supernova does raise a good point ... it is a laggy area and you do need a good machine to really appreciate it ... I've crashed out of it twice (albeit this was during raid runs). Even still. It needs to be made more prominent and it needs to be easier to access ... running through all of LS is a trek ... and although I personally love LS and wouldn't want it altered for the sake of making the zone more appealing to less-experienced players ... it IS rather time-consuming - and usually impossible - to put a group together just to make the run to Sol'Eye ... and much less to them go IN and explore the dungeon! lol But it's a pity. <div></div>

You only have to run thru LS once to access it. From then on it's the easiest to get to dungeon in Norrath. Bell from city to Nek Docks, bell from there to LS, run about 30 steps, step on teleporter, run about 20 steps, zone in to Sol's Eye.The only way the could make it easier to get to is making it so that you do not have to activate the teleporter... and if we are going to do that, why not just have One Big Bell that will take you wherever you want to go with one click?Hell, make the dungeons harder to get to. The current bell system takes a fairly large world and makes it feel... well, about medium sized.--Tusk
