The /report command records the last 100 lines in your chat window (including combat chat) for a GM to review. You can use this command to help us investigate anything from general harassment, to abuse, and trade fraud.

Harassment-Harassment is defined as specifically targeting another player or group of players to harm or inconvenience them. As harassment can take many forms, from Hate Mongering to Sexual Harassment the EQII CSR involved will make a determination as to whether or not a "reasonable person" would feel harassed and act accordingly. For general harassment, a /report of the harassment gives us the evidence we need in order to take action.

Fraud-Fraud is defined as falsely representing one's intentions to make a gain at another's expense. Examples of this activity include, but are not limited to, using deception to deprive another player of items or coin (by trade scamming or any other method), slandering another player or impersonating them with the intention of causing harm to that player's reputation, or falsely representing one's identity in order to gain access to another player's account or account information. For trade fraud a /report of the original trade agreement with all parties agreeing will let us go back and look to see if there was any malfeasance involved.

It is important to note that while screen shots can be used for bug investigations, they can not be used in any investigation that may lead to account action being taken against another player. This is because screen shots are saved locally and therefore can be altered.

Please remember that you will also need to /petition in order to let the GM know about the situation and your /report.

Remember EverQuest II is an active world and community.
