We wanted to take the time to bring this matter to everyones attention. The following post was made by Blackguard and updates can be found at: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=housing&message.id=11731#M11731

Currently, trustees of homes can pick up NO-TRADE house objects placed by the owner. The ability to pick up NO-TRADE items in another person's home will be removed in Live Update #4. It is advised that you remove any NO-TRADE items you may still have in someone else's house before this occurs.

Update:

First, I would like to thank everyone for providing us with valuable feedback in regard to the upcoming change to NO-TRADE housing objects. Many of the community's concerns revolve around the ability to share housing with your guildmates and friends. We agree that simply removing the ability to pick up NO-TRADE house items would effectively remove the ability to share your homes, which is a side effect that we absolutely don't want.

We agree with your feedback and have arrived at a solution based on your ideas that we feel will actually improve upon the current system that is in the game. NO-TRADE house objects will now remember who the owner of that particular item is. Trustees will be able to place and pick up NO-TRADE house items within their friend's home as long as they own the item themselves. Both Owners and Trustees will have the ability to move any item, including NO-TRADE items, within a house. This means that if you own a Stove & Keg (a NO-TRADE housing object) and are a Trustee of Blackguard's home, you can place, move, and pick up that Stove & Keg in Blackguard's home.

Owners will have the ability to either move or delete NO-TRADE items that are placed in their home by a Trustee in order to prevent possible complications. Be sure that you trust the Owner of the home you are a Trustee of before placing a NO-TRADE object within it.

Update #2:

If you have a NO-TRADE item in someone else's house, it would be in your best interest to pick it up before Live Update #4 to ensure that you retain ownership of that item. Also, please see the posts from Silverfrost on this subject, as he is the one responsible for making these changes possible. P.S. I heard he likes pie.

Message Edited by Blackguard on 02-24-200506:30 PM

Ryan "Blackguard" Shwayder

Another update for you courtesy of Silverfrost:

http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=housing&message.id=12225#M12225

Based on your recent questions and concerns, we've made some small adjustments to the upcoming NO-TRADE house item changes:

To prevent guilds having to remove all their items from their current housing, and to address issues where some players may not be available to pick up their items, the following rule is applied to any NO-TRADE items that are in the house at the time this change goes live: The first 4 items of the same name that are found in the house are tagged as NO OWNER. Any subsequent items of that name are automatically owned by the house owner. Pet naming does not affect this rule.
Items flagged as NO OWNER cannot be picked up. These items will have a new right click menu item called 'claim ownership' that replaces the 'pickup' menu item. This allows players to claim ownership of their items without disturbing the placement of those items. This also removes any possible confusion about whether the item you are about to pickup already belongs to you or if it is tagged as NO OWNER. If you can pick it up, you already own it.
The command /house_own_all will be added. This command can only be run by the house owner. This command causes all NO OWNER items in the house to become owned by the house owner. There is a confirmation dialog for this action listing the number of NO OWNER items that would have their owner set.

Additionally, there have been some concerns about the LORE flag and house items, as some people have more than 1 of the same LORE item placed in their house. The behavior of the LORE flag as it pertains to house items will not be changed at this time. You will only be able to have 1 of the same LORE item in your inventory at a time.
