Okay.So the 70 Assassin in Freeport has one, and only one, quest, and it's from the Fear guy. (The Innoruk lady outside Dismal Rage just talks, she never gives a quest or sends you to a giver. And the Valor guy in Maj'Dul... well if I were him I wouldn't be interested in an Assassin either, hehe.)So I'm Shredding Souls. I went to the Feerrott, found Danak, got the shredder, and I'm on my way.Off to the Bonemire, to test it on writ mobs, because they are plentiful, and blue, and I'm usually going to kill them anyway.I've discovered two very strange things about the Soul Shdredder.#1 -- it stifles the caster for 10 seconds after use. Can't do anything while it's refreshing. I'm not the only one to encounter this, so now we're just wondering if it's bugged or Working As Intended (tm). It's definitely a challenge this way, because of the rule that states the mobs must present a challenge.#2 -- the mob whose soul has been shredded stays 100% rooted afterwards. I discovred this the hard way -- taking down an ashengaze basilisk, I accidentally got an add from one of the wasteland striders. As soon as I stopped being completely stifled from the shredder's recast timer, I ran a few yards away form the basilisk to take a better stab at the spider. And 5 seconds after the spider was dead, the basilisk was still sitting exactly where I'd left it, quietly dying of DoTs. Even if I had used my root on it -- which I don't think I ever did -- no way it works that well! I confirmed this on two more basilisks. And a question -- the shredder says it lasts for an hour. I'm presuming this is to prevent farming, since I tried it on a non-aggro mob, got the soul, *didn't* end up engaging the mob, and naturally tried again, only to find a message telling me I couldn't do that. So now my question is: if I shred a mob's soul, leave it there, and move on to the next one, is that only an invalid target for me, or did I just leave an irritating dummy up for everyone who's going to come along behind me as well?So far, so good. *Grin*<div></div>
