<DIV>One of the updates made in GU 26 allows you to finish the Isle's collection quests after leaving the Isle. The manner in which you can do this is by finding some of the Isle's collectibles in the city's adventure yards. Keep an eye out so you can finish those quests!</DIV>

Sounds Great since I know some of the items are going for a huge amount on the live servers and even some are pricing them a bit high on our test server. I do have a couple of questions about collection quests since we are on the topic. First doing those quests does n ot yeild any Alternate advancement exp. Is this intended. I can understand why but would be nice to have confirmation. Second there are a couple of collections from DoF that dont seem to exist any more. Sun Gems and Moon Gems. If these were taken out could we get some confirmation of that and is there any way they could either be taken out of our journals or Auto completed. Lastly can ya'll look into the rareity of a number of the collection items in both DoF and KoS. Specificly shinning Scorpians and Shinning Locasts, and the Medium XXXXXXX Droag Molars, and Incisors. These both seem to be insanely rare and while its kind of a good thing it can be really frustrating spending days looking for one item a teir below you only to find it on the broker for 5pp since everyone knows how rare the item is. It's true about the medium items, heh.  I have an insane number of Bonemire shinys up for sale on my broker at all times, but I'm missing medium items from virtually every collection there is.  I would also like to know about the sun gems and moon gems.  It's irritating having them there without being able to finish them.(Collections over level 20 are giving AA exp, though.  I got about 12% of an AA level and went form 23 to 24 when I turned in the dragon scales one sometime in the last 48 hours.)Aaaaaand since we're on the topic... I think the number of ! pages on the ground in Maj'Dul has increased slightly too much.  I've been running the Peacock Quest series today, starting from "Damsel in Distress," and I must have picked up 3 or 4 dozen pages in Maj'Dul.  Maybe more.  The no-trade ones I destroyed and the rest are for sale on my broker in stacks of 4 or 5 or 6.   Looks like the Library of Light exploded and the books went all over the city, hehe.<div></div>

<DIV>I have to admit, I don't like the change. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not because I have a problem with people being able to finish the island collection quest when they are no longer on the island, but because it is and always was a major pain in the behind to find all butterflies/moths for the tier 1 collections in those tier 1 zones anyway before one has outleveled the zone.</DIV> <DIV>Yes, I run a few lowbie alts (I always do *grin*) and I never had trouble getting all feathers/shells on the island as long as I did the island quests anyway. But I have and have had always trouble to get that last spotted butterfly before I hit 16 and really only run through the tier 1 zones in search for it ...  Now the already slim chance for that spotted Butterfly is even slimmer because I'm getting large amounts of feathers for which I have no use. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, instead of putting those collection items into the small adventure yards that already carry the load to spawn all the tier1 glowies, why not put them into Antonica/Commonlands? If some people are so much in a hurry to leave the island before finishing the collection quests (even with the items now practically spawning right in front of their noses), then they are for sure in a hurry to get out of the small adventure yards, too. Let alone that the reward for those two quests is not really worth having them on the island, let alone once you reach Q/FP.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Or, if you really want to go down that route, please adjust the rate in which the >rare items< for the collections drop. Ending 3 hours of search with 20+ feathers, 20+ shards, 20+ plain/striped Butterflies and one measly spotted one of the wrong color is really really frustrating.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Same goes for all those other collections that are soooo NO FUN because they contain one super rarely dropping item. If in a collection are 10 items and all but one drop at a chance of 11 % and that last one has a drop rate of 1 % (if we set the collection as a whole at 100 %) then people get frustrated because they might have 10 sets of those 9 regular drops blocking space in their backpacks, but still not the last one. That's not fun, it's tedium and frustration.</DIV> <DIV>If you really want collections to be difficult, then make them bigger (require more items), but please stop overloading people with stuff they have no use for and only get more frustating finding more useless common drops instead the one rare they are looking for.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for reading through it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Purr~</DIV> <DIV>Test Server = priceless</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <P>PS: /feedback_19947806 Please give us Troubadors a little, cuddlish bear pet that tanks nicely when we solo, warms our feet at night and dances whenever we play our tunes for friends.</P></DIV><p>Message Edited by Purrfect on <span class=date_text>07-26-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:11 PM</span>

<P> </P> <P>I'm not a big fan of this change either.</P> <P>I sent a baby alt out to Oakmyst this morning, doing a little harvesting and collecting. Well over half the collection items I got were feathers. It was making it hard to find shattered bones and chipped shards - normally the ones we need a lot of to get those collections anywhere near done.</P> <P>I've always done both the feather and shell collections on the isles, with every character I've made, and it's not difficult to complete those if you're remotely interested in completing them. Even if one or two items are eluding you, it's normal for people to /ooc that they're trading for them, in my experience. Those that don't complete the collections on the isles generally seem to be in too big a hurry to leave, and really aren't interested in doing those. Has there been a lot of player feedback and / or data suggesting that a large number of players wish they could get feathers or shells outside of the isles?</P> <P>If the feather / shell collection items must show up now in the city adventure yards, I'd prefer to see those be some of the rarer ? harvests, leaving the traditional collection items predominant. As Purr mentioned, there are already some fairly rare items to get for those. Leave the feathers as a rare shot - yes, a second chance for those who really wanted to complete those collections but left the isles too quickly, but not impacting all the butterfly/moth, shard and bone collection harvests as much as they have been.</P> <P> </P>
